Hope Logan Spencer is juggling a lot these days given that her mom fell off the wagon on New Year’s Eve on The Bold and the Beautiful. For her work as a family woman trying to keep it all together and protecting her mother, Soap Hub bestows Performer of the Week for B&B honors on Annika Noelle, who plays Hope.

Annika Noelle – Performer of the Week

Hope queried her husband Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) if her insisting on wanting dad Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) back in her life may have contributed to Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) drinking. Liam assured his wife that wasn’t the case but it speaks to Hope’s great love for her mother that she’s trying to pin down the reason she started drinking again. Hope hasn’t figured out – yet – that the ‘non-alcoholic’ booze that Brooke imbibed on New Year’s Eve was actually the real deal courtesy of sinful Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).

Hope still had her mother’s woes on her mind when she popped over to Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to search for a lost item of Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri). While Noelle could open up as Hope in front of Liam, the actress had to take a much more reserved stance with Steffy and her mother Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) as Taylor is the other love of Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) life?

Steffy accused Hope of having an ulterior motive in coming over to her home. Hope said that wasn’t the case at all however, since she was here, she put Taylor and Steffy on notice – Ridge is Brooke’s husband and is unavailable to Taylor. Steffy pushed back, of course. Hope composed herself and politely requested that both Steffy and Taylor respect her parents’ marriage. The action picked up the next day with Steffy reminded Hope that nobody dictates what Ridge does.

Taylor attempted to play referee, offering herself up as a resource for Brooke if she needed help. Hope wasn’t going to tip her hand and reveal to potential adversaries that her mother has been drinking again and likely could use some help. We could see Annika Noelle making the choice not to share that information.

Steffy continued to push back, reminding Hope that Ridge has two families. “I thought we were one big family,” shrugged Hope, pointing out that that’s what they certainly tell all the children and grandchildren. Annika Noelle keeps Hope on her toes around Steffy. Even under the best of conditions, the two women are known to spar back and forth.

Next, Hope grilled her mother on why Deacon hasn’t been around much since New Year’s Eve. She floated by her theory (the one Liam already assured her wasn’t true) that somehow, she was responsible for Brooke drinking again. Brooke sided with Liam, telling her she wasn’t to blame. Hope (Annika Noelle) doesn’t have all the details yet – namely, her parents locking lips – but once she does become privy to what’s happening, we expect Annika Noelle to continue to play Hope as a strong and loyal daughter to both her mother and her father.
