On the October 9 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Electra wasted no time running to Ridge and Eric to blame Dylan for trying to poach company talent. However, Zende’s frustration runs deep; he feels pushed aside at Forrester despite his family history. When Ridge dismissed him, Zende confessed that he still felt like an outsider. The Forresters need to face the truth as to why they’re losing employees.

Key Takeaways

  • Electra snitched on Dylan to Ridge and Eric, blaming her for pushing Zende to Logan.
  • Zende confessed that despite his adoption and history with the Forresters, he still feels like an outsider who gets passed over.
  • Ridge brushed off Zende’s frustration by claiming there was “plenty of time” for him to grow and thrive.
  • The Forresters are blind as to why they’re losing their employees.

Electra Snitches as Zende Gets Summoned

Electra (Laneya Grace) wasted no time going to Eric (John McCook) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). She demanded they fire her former best friend, Dylan (Sydney Bullock), for encouraging Zende (Delon de Metz) to leave.

Meanwhile, Zende received a text from Ridge summoning him directly to the CEO’s office. Upon his arrival, Ridge confronted Zende with the news that Katie (Heather Tom) had offered him a job at Logan.

Eric asked him directly if the rumor was true. When Zende questioned how they found out, Ridge brushed it off and insisted that it didn’t matter.

Zende admitted that Hope (Annika Noelle) had reached out and that he accepted her invitation because he deserved an explanation after how things ended. Ridge argued that Hope killed Hope for the Future after Forrester greenlit it.

Zende Challenges Eric and Ridge Over Favoritism

Zende pointed out that he felt a sense of magic when he worked with Hope. Ridge warned him that jumping ship to Logan would be a massive mistake.

Eric chimed in, begging Zende to stay, reminding him that he and Stephanie (Susan Flannery) built Forrester Creations for their family and that Zende belongs there. While Zende expressed gratitude, he questioned whether he was actually valued.

He pointed out that certain people enjoy more advantages than others. Zende admitted he saw favorites even as a child and yelled about R.J. (Brayan Nicoletti), who overnight transitioned from an influencer to lead designer.

Ridge grew defensive. He insisted he had never handed R.J. anything and asked whether Zende was really walking away to join the Spencers.

Zende Drops a Bombshell and Hands in His Notice

Zende brought up his birth family and the toll the AIDS epidemic took on his origins. Despite being welcomed by the Forresters and working for their family business, his career never went anywhere.

He called out how fast R.J. and newcomer Electra (Laneya Grace) received their own promotions. But Ridge merely told Zende to be patient.

When Ridge asked whether he was truly walking away from the family he loves, Zende confessed that despite his history, he had always felt like an outsider. In that moment, Zende officially gave his notice.

He wanted to avoid ill will or make it seem like a spiteful betrayal. Despite Eric’s desperate pleas for him to reconsider, the Forresters remain blind to why their top talent keeps walking out the door.
