On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Thomas Forrester didn’t exactly thrill at hearing Ridge Forrester Jr. was back on the scene…which was good and well because RJ wasn’t exactly thrilled with his big brother.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) needled RJ about his future endeavors while Taylor (Krista Allen) did the same with Thomas about his feelings for his work partner. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Thomas Forrester Couldn’t Care Less That RJ’s Back
Taylor called on Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) — read: performed a wellness check — and wondered how things were going with Hope (Annika Noelle).
That necessitated Thomas insisting that everything was great, and Taylor seemed to buy…but just to be sure, she queried as to whether or not he was feeling any urges or desires towards the former object of his obsession.

After grousing that this was a very weird conversation to have with his mother — but a fair one, pointed out Taylor — Thomas swore that he wasn’t and that the only thing on his mind was proving himself as a designer and as a decent human being.
Also, he’s well aware of the fact that he and Hope are co-parents and co-workers only. She doesn’t want him [if only he knew!], and he doesn’t want her, and he respects her marriage to Liam (Scott Clifton). Taylor couldn’t have been prouder.
Enter Hope, ready and raring to go over Thomas’s latest designs. She cooed over what she saw and waxed lyric about Thomas’s melding of lace and leather.
Edgy but with a touch of class. Hard but soft. Like taking the best of two worlds. Taylor gushed that she’d never seen the two more in sync and bemoaned that Liam couldn’t accept their status as creative partners.
For his part, Thomas granted that Liam had every reason to be concerned and skeptical. That said, he intends to win his rival over. One day. With that, Charlie (Dick Christie) darkened the door and went the long way ’round in revealing that RJ was next door. Hope flew off to see her brother, but Thomas noticeably lagged behind.
When Taylor questioned his reluctance to go and welcome his kin, Thomas hedged — then pointedly wondered how she felt about “the only child that Dad and Brooke ever had being back?”
B&B Recap: Father (Thinks He) Knows Best
Across the hall, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) posted the snap he took of him and his parentals — 3,000 views in seconds! — and delighted his mother with chocolates…from Switzerland!
RJ asked after his brothers and sisters and got a rundown on the lot [baring Jack, of course, because he’s only mentioned when it suits purposes] but negated to mention Thomas. That did not go unnoticed by Ridge.
RJ insisted that, though he wasn’t exactly pleased that Thomas had worked to split his parents up, he wasn’t about to feud him. “The whole Forrester-Logan rivalry isn’t fun, especially when you’re a Forrester and a Logan — and I’m proud to be both.”
Ridge praised his son’s “sound mind” and then set about denigrating how he makes a living and pushing him to join the company as a designer. Luckily Hope’s arrival dissipated the quickly growing tension in the room.
