The B&B recap for Monday, December 12, 2022, sees previously unchecked Post-Traumatic Stress rearing its head at the most inopportune of moments.
B&B Recap Highlights
In this episode, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) manages to make a fast getaway from her daughter-in-law-cum-would-be-victim, and decamps to a motel room where she gets her crazy on. Elsewhere, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) fears for her safety — for some reason — and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) curses himself for inflicting pain and heartache upon his precious missus. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Mama Bear
Despite having Sheila within grabbing distance, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) fails to capture her tormentor. The reason: pointed flashbacks to the night her life nearly ended. While Steffy panicked, Sheila fled.

By the time a worried Finn tracked Steffy down, and she’d had the time to center, Sheila was nowhere to be found — but make no mistake, it was Sheila. And sure, the woman was blonde and only bared a passing resemblance to Ms. Carter, but there was one identifying feature that no one could argue with — the missing middle toe!
But what was Sheila doing at Il Giardino? Spying on Steffy and Finn? Hoping the catch the attention of former lover Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan)? Both? Whatever the case, Deacon swears that he has no idea where Sheila is — which is actually the truth — and that he has no way of finding out — which is a bald-faced lie.
In fact, Deacon has Sheila’s number — literally — and he uses it to call her up and ask her what the Hell she thinks she’s playing at. Cool as a cucumber Sheila assures the D man that he has nothing to fear. Nobody will ever find out that he was involved in sheltering her — Sheila promises. Sheila also took time to de-wig, demask, line her lips, and cackle manically into a mirror, so there’s that.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Me, Me, Me
Despite not having a horse in the race, Hope can’t help but feel that she’s a potential victim that needs protecting from Sheila. You know what will really cheer her up? Hugs. Lots and lots of hugs. Lots and lots of hugs from Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Too bad the hugs can’t change the fact that Sheila probably is alive and well and somewhere plotting to revenge herself against all those that wronged her…which apparently includes Hope and her brood…for some reason.
B&B Recap: Blame Game
Despite not needing to be, Finn is nothing but sorry for everything that has transpired since Sheila darkened his life. How could he have wanted to forge a relationship with the woman — birth mother or not — when Steffy was dead set against it? If only he’d listened. He wouldn’t have been shot — ditto Steffy — he wouldn’t have been hidden away by his mother for all those many months, and he would have been on hand to protect his loved ones. Damn him!
