The Bold and the Beautiful, like other soap operas, tell paternity twist storylines. There was a time, for example, when Brooke Logan thought Ridge Forrester was Bridget Forrester’s dad — and that’s not the only switcheroo that’s taken place.
Bold and the Beautiful Polling
For years, Bold and the Beautiful viewers have believed that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is Kelly Spencer’s dad; that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) fathered Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), and that Massimo Marone (the late Joe Mascolo) is Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) biological pop. While B&B could revisit all these reveals, it’s more likely that they’ll only undo one. Which one should they do (or rather undo)? Soap Hub posed this query.
My Grandfather, My Father
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) had sex with daughter-in-law Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) when it appeared that Liam and Steffy’s marriage was beyond repair. But #Steam still had some heat to it, and the couple reunited. Before Steffy gave birth to daughter Kelly Spencer, Liam found out that Steffy had had a paternity test because Bill might have been the dad. He wasn’t…or was he? Bill just happened to be visiting the hospital around the time the results came in. Did the media mogul pay someone off to show that Liam was the dad? About 54% of you think that he did.
Bold and the Beautiful Father’s Daze
Sure, Ridge had a vasectomy which removed him from contention when Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) wasn’t sure whether Ridge or Thomas was the father of her unborn child. But as we all know from watching soaps, vasectomies don’t always take. About 29% of you think that someday B&B will pull the rug out from Thomas by revealing that Douglas isn’t his son but is, in reality, his half-brother.

You Say, ‘Forrester,’ I Say, ‘Marone’
The late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) arguably ‘trapped’ Eric into marriage when she told him she was expecting his child. Eric dumped Beth Logan (Nancy Burnett) to do the right thing and marry Steph. Decades later, it came to light that Ridge’s biological dad was Steph’s lover Massimo Marone. Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) reveled in pointing out to her rival that, apparently, she wasn’t the only one who didn’t know who the father of her child was. However, only 17% of you want B&B to tweak this tale and reveal that Eric — not Massimo — is Ridge’s father.
