Douglas’s custody affects far more than his parents, Thomas Forrester and Hope Logan Spencer, and Douglas himself. It seems as if nearly everyone is weighing in on what’s best for the Forrester heir.
Everyone Loves Douglas Forrester
Douglas has been enjoying life at the Forrester mansion, beating his grandfather Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) at chess and doing some painting. Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) seems to think that a pocket knife-wielding Thomas isn’t the best influence on her grandson. Is Douglas in unsafe conditions? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.
Babbling Brooke
Most of you, 60%, say that yes, Brooke is overreacting. Thomas was using a pocket knife to slice apples in front of his son. It’s not like he took out a machete. Brooke is looking for reasons to dub Thomas as unsafe and people who are looking for trouble…well, they usually find it! Brooke needs to back off!
Doubting Douglas Forrester
Douglas may seem like he’s happy and safe with his father, but many of you, about 25%, say that he is not. You’re starting to see signs of Thomas becoming unglued. He may appear all ‘who me?’ when he has his confrontations with Brooke, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and others but he is trying to manipulate them as he uses his opponents’ words against them. Thomas is up to his old ways. Just look in his eyes. You can see it.
Finding Forrester Family
The rest of you, about 15%, say that even if Thomas is unstable, there are lots of people around — Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), Eric, mansion staff, and other relatives — who are going to make sure that Douglas is safe around Thomas. If nothing else, hopefully, Thomas will be influenced by the watchful gaze provided by his grandfather’s portrait looking down on him.
