The Bold and the Beautiful writers took great care in establishing that history did not repeat with Brooke and her daughter Hope Logan Spencer as far as their choices in men were concerned. Or did they? Recent events have shown B&B viewers that Hope may be more like her mom when it comes to picking bad boys than Hope would care to admit!
Hope Logan Spencer: Blood Lines
Hope’s (Annika Noelle) let her heart lead her over the years, but she hasn’t copied her mother much when it comes to loving two men at the same time. That’s all changed now that she has apparently developed feelings for a man who’s not her husband, Liam (Scott Clifton). She’s fallen for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), a man who has chosen to manipulate her in the past. Does this mean Hope is truly like Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.
B&B: Like Mother, Like Daughter
A small number of responders, about 15%, say that yes, Brooke and Hope are quite similar. They both are devoted to Forrester Creations. They’re both beautiful, blonde women. And they both like the bad boys. Brooke fell for Deacon (Sean Kanan). She also didn’t take dating within the same family off the table, as evidenced by her romances and marriages with Eric (John McCook) and Thorne (Winsor Harmon). Hope is wed to Liam, but she can’t stop thinking about Thomas. Sounds like her mom to us!
Hope Logan Spencer for the Future
Many of you, 27%, say that Hope and Brooke are nothing alike. Hope is torturing herself over her feelings for Thomas. She loves Liam and doesn’t want to hurt him. When Brooke’s been happily married to Eric and Thorne (Winsor Harmon), she’s eventually come to the realization that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is the only man for her. She followed her heart and felt horrible that anyone was ever hurt. Meanwhile, Hope is just hurting one person — herself. (Though Liam is going to be hurt when he learns the truth.)

B&B: You Gotta BeLieF
The rest of you, about 58%, say that you believe Hope has the potential to be just like her mother, but it’ll take some doing to get there. If Hope wants to reach epic Brooke Logan levels, she may have to get pregnant with Thomas’s baby, feel horrible, and lie to Liam. She’ll have to get divorced and remarried to Liam a few times just as Brooke has done with Ridge. Just as Brooke ran Forrester by leveraging the BeLieF patent in her favor, Hope could pull a similar play if she creates something incredibly valuable related to the future of Forrester Creations.
