Well, that was quick. Taylor Hayes and Brooke Logan tried having a friendship on The Bold and the Beautiful last year, but family dynamics and fighting over who’d be the woman in Ridge’s life brought it to an end.
Bold and the Beautiful Polls: Braylor No More
It was quite different watching Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Krista Allen) be pals, have lunch together, and share confidences. Some found it enjoyable and a refreshing take on the dynamic between the women. Do you miss seeing them be pals? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.
Star-Crossed B&B Pals
About 13% of you feel that the friendship ended too quickly. Mind you, it wasn’t expected to last. But did it have to end so abruptly? Perhaps one reason it ended was that B&B characters are soon headed to Rome. Now, the stage is set for Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke to share a romantic reunion. Viewers aren’t going to want to miss those episodes.
The Bold and the Beautiful and the Braylor
Almost a third of you, 30%, say you’re already missing the Braylor friendship. No, you didn’t expect it to last, but you enjoyed it. Sure, the two women shared a lot of laughs together during this time. They were comfortable around one another.
They showed maturity — especially in the scene that took place in the Forrester living room where they both came clean about what had gone down with Ridge, Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) call to Child Protective Services, what Taylor knew and when, and more. It’s too bad that appears to be over. Maybe someday, the two women will be close again. Maybe not.
Un-BeLieF-able on B&B
The rest of you, about 57%, say that you won’t miss Braylor at all because you felt that it wasn’t realistic from its inception. It’s one thing for Brooke and Taylor to both realize that Ridge was part of the problem. Why was it always, “Who will Ridge choose?” and never “Why should we allow him to control the narrative?”
Brooke and Taylor being on the same page about this was one thing — but becoming besties like Amy and Penny from The Big Bang Theory? Sharing confidences, meals, and becoming housemates? Nah. It was too “un-BeLieF-able.”
