If you’ve ever wanted to relive the early days of The Bold and the Beautiful, now is your chance. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 1, viewers can go to an online platform to see episodes from the CBS soap’s early days.
The Bold and the Beautiful Day One
YouTube is going to present episodes of B&B from the very beginning. The show is known for its lavish fashion galas and in the first episode, B&B presented one from a backstage point of view. Patriarch Eric Forrester (John McCook) didn’t take kindly to his son Ridge (Ronn Moss; now, Thorsten Kaye) telling him that his latest fashion line lacked sex appeal.
Also in the first episode, Bill Spencer, Sr. (Jim Storm) tells Ridge that he needs to break things off with his daughter Caroline Spencer (Joanna Johnson). Meanwhile, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) arrives safely at the Logan home having thwarted a kidnapping attempt. Brooke fought off her attackers after being nearly dragged into a van.
The Bold and the Beautiful and Brooke
Brooke informs her lawman boyfriend Dave Reed (Stephen Shortridge) what happened and Dave comforts Brooke and later helps her go through some mugshot books in an effort to identify her assailants. Star-crossed supercouple Ridge and Brooke have yet to meet in this first episode and, in fact, it’ll be a little while before they do lock eyes out by the Forrester pool for the first time.
Before then, Ridge will go against Spencer’s demand that he end his relationship with Caroline. In fact, he proposes marriage to the blonde ingenue before the episode concludes.
Is Ridge, however, asking Caroline to marry him because he truly loves her — or is he playing mind-games with her overprotective father? Tune in to find out. Don’t miss B&B from the beginning by bookmarking the show’s YouTube channel. An episode a day will be released.
The Best Is Yet To Come
Before the week is over, viewers will be introduced to Stephanie (Susan Flannery). It’s clear by her absence at Eric’s fashion show that malaise has crept into the couple’s nearly 30-year marriage. What viewers will also notice is that the families who were on the scene in B&B’s early days — the Forresters, the Logans, and the Spencers — are still on the canvas today, nearly 35 years later.
