Reformed bad girl, Quinn, must have done something right in a previous life to have landed a friend like Shauna. On a scale of 0 to 10, she’s a 20 –- a surefire superstar. Yep, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Shauna is soaps’ best bestie ever.
Bold and the Beautiful — Monica, Rachel and… Shauna
Shauna (Denise Richards) takes the phrase, “I’ll be there for you,” to new heights. Having been besties with Quinn (Rena Sofer) for decades, she’s loyal and true. She stands by Quinn’s side through thick and thin. She’s got her back in good times, bad times, and, above all, absurd times. When others would run, Shauna stays and goes to battle for her pal.
The Plot
When Quinn (Rena Sofer) cajoled her into breaking up Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Shauna reluctantly went along. She encouraged Ridge to get drunk, had him sign off on a quickie divorce, took him to a Vegas chapel, and married him — all against her better judgment. Once the truth came out, Shauna readily accepted her blame in the whole fiasco; then started working overtime to get Eric (John McCook) to forgive his scheming wife.

Taking the Blame
Yet, that pales in comparison to Shauna’s role in Quinn’s latest ginormous mistake: sleeping with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) after Eric cut her off in the bedroom. Realizing she made a big blunder, Quinn confided in Shauna, who vowed to keep her secret, knowing how much Quinn truly loves her husband.
But when the one-night stand was about to be exposed by Carter’s brokenhearted ex, Zoe (Kiara Barnes), Shauna made a move that catapulted her to the top of the super friend heap. She stepped up, swearing she was the woman who bedded Carter. Talk about selfless!
Facing the Fallout
Shauna had to know there would be fallout from the lie. Everybody will be gossiping about her; plus, the Forrester clan is likely to look down on her for bedding Carter, who was on the rebound after parting ways with Zoe. Yet, for Shauna, it was all in a day’s work as a true blue friend. Protecting Quinn takes precedence over everything, and Quinn is darn lucky to her. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
