When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic’s Week In Review

What follows is a sort of stream of consciousness writing as I reflect on The Bold and the Beautiful’s most recent offerings. Here I, you, we go…

So, are we just forgetting that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) is an alcoholic herself? #RemindHerSheKilledDarla…. Are we just going to pretend that this “stolen kiss on New Year’s Eve that ruins a marriage” storyline hasn’t been done before on The Bold and the Beautiful – and that TAYLOR was the one kissing a man who most assuredly wasn’t Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), her then-husband?

Are we really expected to believe that Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) would rather sit on a couch and wax lyric about her childhood rather than go upstairs with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) for a little afternoon delight?

And I’m the only one who wanted to yell at/remind Steffy that she was once feared shark bait and all the while she was the “guest” of obvious psychotic Morgan DeWitt? And that all transpired because Ridge was stupid enough to think that Taylor wanted him to impregnate his former flame the old-fashioned way – and that she gave said permission in an email? Talk about looking back at a life with rose-colored glasses on.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Also, how did The Bold and the Beautiful manage to get Taylor glaring at Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) while saying, “See you next Tuesday,” past the censors? Surely someone at CBS has watched Sex & the City and knows what was really meant.

Finally, what purpose does Keith Anderson (Nick Waters) the hotel manager serve, didn’t it take very little pressure for Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) to reveal her grand design, and did B&B really, really bring Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) back for all of three scenes to disparage Ridge and cheer for Brooke? REALLY?!

Further B&B Musings

* Speaking of Keith, I can’t help but feel that he and Sheila would make a better scheme team than her and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).

* When confronted with a choice between either Ridge or Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), surely everyone would choose Deacon, yes? If for no other reason than because Ridge is clearly all ego and full of nothing but hot air and hypocrisy.

The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Los Angeles, check out all the latest that’s been posted on B&B spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
