A Critic’s Review Of The Bold and the Beautiful: Lather, Rinse, And Repeat

The author’s opinions are his and his alone. They’re suitably scathing, fairly humorous, and normally bang on target.

When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic’s Week In Review

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. The Bold and the Beautiful’s Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has done a bad, bad thing and his young son is privy to facts. Upon being confronted, Thomas gets a wee bit menacing and browbeats the boy into silence.

A wedding is planned at the speed of light and is to be held at the Forrester family abode because none of the characters have a religion and no other fancy establishment will do — don’t you remember that one time when someone dared to venture far afield to *gasp* Il Giardino?!

Guests flock to the event and far happier than they should be given that they’re all fairly aware of the fact that the marriage shouldn’t be taking place — truth is, they really don’t care. In the background, the explosive secret remains poised to be revealed….

If Bold and the Beautiful were to ever add a subtitle, it would most certainly have to be: Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Further B&B Musings

* Does any member of the Forrester family outside of Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester’s brood with Taylor (Krista Allen) — which last time I checked included Kristen, Felicia, and Thorne — even know that Ridge is getting remarried, and to Taylor no less. Hell, does Ridge Jr. (Anthony Turpel) even know that his parents are no longer husband and wife?

What do you think? Post a comment!

* If Thomas is so concerned about his secret outing, why hasn’t he taken Douglas’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) phone and made sure any and all evidence has been scrubbed from it?

* I’m sorry, but did Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) casually offer to break into Brooke’s house in order to retrieve Ridge’s cufflinks?

* Why would Brooke even want Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) considering he was just over at her house a few weeks ago begging her to intercede with Katie Logan (Heather Tom) on his behalf because she was the love of his life? There’s only one fickle man for Brooke, and that’s Ridge!
