Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting for the week of April 24, 2023
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas.
The Young and the Restless
It’s the end of the line for a villain at The Young and the Restless. James Hyde has wrapped up his run as evil Jeremy Stark. The character met his demise after attempting to attack Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with some scissors.
Hyde took part in an Instagram live confirming that he exited the CBS soap opera. “I loved the character. It’s unfortunate the way it happened, but that’s the way it goes,” he offered reflectively.
Stephen A. Smith returns to General Hospital as Brick, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) head of security. He’ll appear in scenes with Benard and Evan Hofer’s Dex Heller, as the Corinthos organization prepares for a major meeting.
James Ryan has taken over the role of Ethan Lovett, Holly Sutton’s (Emmy Samms) son. The character was originally portrayed by Nathan Parsons from 2009 to 2013 and again in 2015 and 2020.
Days of our Lives
There’s a new mystery man on Days of our Lives. Jasper Newman makes his daytime debut as Colin on Thursday, April 27. Newman’s credits include numerous short films as well as a guest spot on the series Cain Enabled.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Over at The Bold and the Beautiful the Forrester Creations’ ace security guard is back on the scene. Dick Christie makes another appearance as Charlie Webber on Monday, April 24.
Naomi Matsuda resurfaces as Dr. Li Finnegan, too. Look for Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) mother to air on Thursday, April 27.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
