It’s been over two months – Friday, April 23 – since The Bold and the Beautiful aired its last original episode, after shutting down production due to the coronavirus. But the soap resumed filming on July 17 and will begin broadcasting new episodes in just a few weeks.
Denise Richards (Shauna) let us know what life has been like on the set and that the show has indeed been using blowup dolls and actors’ spouses as doubles for love scenes.
Need a refresher course on where things stand with the Forresters, the Logans, and the other denizens of the Los Angeles based soap? Here’s where key stories left off.
Go With The Flo
After Flo (Katrina Bowden) learned Sally (Courtney Hope) and Dr. Escobar were lying about Sally’s terminal illness, she threatened to expose the twosome’s plot. But before she could text Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Dr. Escobar picked up a candlestick, clobbered Flo over the head, and knocked her unconscious.
Sally freaked out and went into panic mode when Wyatt suddenly turned up at the front door. Sally and Dr. Escobar struggled to drag Flo’s body out of the living room and out the backdoor, just as Wyatt entered.
That Kiss: Ridge’s Outrage
Furious over video footage of his wife and Bill (Don Diamont) in a liplock, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) left Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and headed straight for his sexy pal, Shauna (Denise Richards), who was on her way back to Vegas.
Ridge decided to visit Sin City with Shauna, who gave him a fun-filled tour of her hometown. Brooke fretted about her missing husband, realizing he was seeking solace and possibly more with Shauna. Meanwhile, Quinn (Rena Sofer), who arranged the video reveal, was thrilled her bestie was with Ridge and away from her nemesis, Brooke.
That Kiss: Katie Betrayed
Ridge wasn’t the only one angered and disgusted by Bill and Brooke’s kiss on The Bold and the Beautfiul. So was Katie (Heather Tom), who was betrayed by both her husband and her big sister. To make matters worse, her man and her sister have crossed that line before, and the timing couldn’t have been worse.
Katie had just undergone a kidney transplant that saved her life. Katie read Bill the riot act and he willingly moved out of their home, so as not to disrupt their son Will’s life. However, Bill remains determined to win Katie back, while blaming Quinn for the whole sordid mess.
Doomed Wedding
After Hope (Annika Noelle) exposed Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) lies during his wedding to Zoe (Kiara Barnes) – he was only marrying Zoe in a twisted plot to manipulate Hope into stepping in and becoming his bride – Zoe dumped him and Thomas ran off in shame.
Thomas left his son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), behind to live with Hope, his adopted mother. Afterward, Hope and Liam (Scott Clifton) exchanged private vows at their home with Douglas as their witness and welcomed the tyke into their family. The couple is hoping to live happily ever after, while Thomas remains MIA. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
