On-screen as Quinn on The Bold and the Beautiful, Rena Sofer is a doting mother — just ask her son Wyatt! In real life, Sofer’s also doting to her children, one of which just celebrated a big milestone.

“HAPPY SWEET 16 to my beautiful angel AVALON!!!” Sofer posted on Instagram to her daughter, whose father is director Sanford Bookstaver. “I am gushing with pride as the Mama of this amazing soul!! The strength of your character is proven in the depth of your friendships and the devotion of your family and friends!
“You are so loved for your kindness and inclusivity and your giving nature,” Rena Sofer continues. “I am so excited for your amazing future and so incredibly grateful that I get a front-row seat as your Mama!! I love you, my sweet sweet angel! I hope you have the best birthday ever!! I LOVE YOU!!! #sweet16 #happybirthday #proudmama @avaloni3.”
Sofer’s followers chimed in with congratulatory posts and messages of support. “She looks just like her beautiful mama! Happy birthday Avalon!” posted @kat_themagicdragon. Added @furrybratzz, “Gosh first photo!!! She’s grown soooo much! Feeling old now Happiest 16th @avaloni3 from all of us in Melbourne.”

Rena Sofer first came onto the soap scene back in 1987 as Joyce Abernathy on Another World. Her next gig was as Rocky McKenzie on the ABC soap Loving. In 1993, Sofer joined the cast of General Hospital as Lois Cerullo and won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1995 for her portrayal of the bodacious Brooklyn beauty.
The actress exited Port Charles in 1997 and went on to work regularly in primetime appearing on such series as Melrose Place, Ed, Just Shoot Me, 24, and NCIS. In 2013, she was lured back to daytime as B&B’s Quinn Fuller, a single mother, and successful jewelry designer.
Recently, Sofer’s shined as Quinn and has embarked on an affair with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) after feeling that her marriage to Eric (John McCook) was at an impasse. Soap Hub recently named Sofer as Performer of the Week for B&B for her performances in this storyline.
