Perhaps absence does make the heart grow fonder — though to be fair, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Rena Sofer was pretty besotted, to begin with. The stunning star is counting down the days until she is with her man again.

The actress, who has played Quinn Fuller on The Bold and the Beautiful for eight years, took to her Instagram account to discuss how she’s been separated from her love, director Sanford Bookstaver, but their time apart is drawing to an end.
“Missing this guy so much right now but so excited that [Sanford] is coming home so soon,” she posted. “This business can be hard on you when you are away a lot for work but it makes all the difference in the world when you have someone to come home to.”
Sofer added an adorable shot of the two cozying up outside to stay warm as they posed near a lighthouse on a cold day.

The romance between Sofer and Bookstaver is one that could have been taken from daytime. The couple married in 2003 but divorced in 2017 after almost 14 years together. They remained friends as they shared a daughter, Avalon, who is turning 16 this year. In 2019, the two found their way back to one another and rekindled their love, and have been together ever since.
“We were very lucky for our second chance at love,” Sofer wrote in her post. “And for each other!”
Two months ago, Sofer celebrated Valentine’s Day by posting a photo of the two at Disney, calling Bookstaver “the love of my life” and happy to be sharing the day at the “happiest place on earth” together.
While Sofer is happy in love, things haven’t been so good in the love department for her on-screen character. Quinn’s love life is in shambles (though she seems clueless about that) and her husband seems unsure if he even wants her as his wife anymore. Will Quinn fix things? Stay tuned.
