Zende Forrester Dominguez, played by Delon de Metz, is not having much luck in the romance department on The Bold and the Beautiful. Ironically de Metz’s predecessor in the role, Rome Flynn, can relate to a challenging love life. Flynn recently appeared on the Facebook talk show Face to Face with Becky G to chat about meeting women on social media.
Rome Flynn Talks Romantic Direct Messages
“You’re handsome, well-accomplished and you still have so much to go,” Becky G told Rome Flynn as they sat down for an in-depth interview. The host asked the Daytime Emmy winner if he had any “mamas slipping into his DM’s” (direct messages).
Flynn responded that yes, he literally does have “mamas” filling up his message boxes on social media. “Most definitely,” he says. “It’s funny. I get a lot of DMs from moms about their daughters. It’s interesting. I respect that they’re proud of their children. They’ll come in and give me a whole breakdown of her life.”
Following Up
At the risk of Flynn getting even more direct messages (AKA DMs), the actor says that the pitches on occasion warrant a follow-up. “Sometimes, I’ll go to the girl’s [social media] page and tell them I got a DM from their mom. [The moms] will say you should hit her up and take her on a date!”

When Rome Flynn Played Zende
As B&B fans recall, Flynn joined the show as Zende Forrester Dominguez in 2015 and played the role for two years. During his tenure on the show, he romanced Nicole (Reign Edwards), and the two married. Zende compassionately dealt with his wife’s second thoughts on being a surrogate mom to Rick and Maya’s baby girl, Lizzie. Eventually, Zende and Nicole left town. But something went awry in their marriage and Zende (now played by Delon de Metz) returned to Los Angeles a single man.
Post-B&B, Rome Flynn has worked regularly most notably as the character Gabriel Maddox on the ABC legal drama How To Get Away With Murder. The actor has also starred in the series Dear White People, With Love, and Raising Dion. Check out a preview clip of Flynn chatting with Becky G below.
