Hayley and Randy — the Cousin Cons Confer
Meanwhile, Hayley (Marquita Goings) and Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) are holed up in a booth at Uptown. It’s like Hayley can practically touch the cool ten-million-dollar life insurance payout already. “You think this is it? Randy asks, not quite ready to believe. Anita (Tamara Tunie) reunites with her friends, the Articulettes. Sharon (Bonita Brisker) and Tracy (Maria Howell) have a proposal for her. “Why not celebrate kicking cancer’s booty by joining us?” Sharon says as she starts the pitch.
“Yes, Anita. Join us on tour,” Tracy finishes. Vernon (Clifton Davis) looks pleased, but what will Anita’s answer be? Joining her friends on stage again was always part of the plan. But this soon?
Hayley Versus Dani
Hayley and Dani (Karla Mosley) clash again. This might happen more and more, as people, or Bill, start to suspect something nefarious is behind his hospital visit. “Don’t you get it by now, Hayley? You may have appealed to Bill’s baser instincts, but he clearly cannot get over me and the life that we shared. That’s what tears you up inside.
No, what tears Hayley up inside is the fact that the poison she’s using to dose Bill’s drinks with is acting too slowly. Also, she would like to hold on to Bill long enough to get her payday. Meanwhile, Dani’s sitting on a secret that she could “accidentally” reveal during this exchange. She has 100% confirmation that Bill cannot get over her, after all.
Ted and Leslie Chaos
Finally, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) instigates chaos. She can’t be her 2.0 self all the time. “Your father’s just being melodramatic because I got a little flirty,” Leslie insists to Eva (Ambyr Michelle, who is one of BTG’s actors who are worthy of Daytime Emmy recognition). Ted (Keith D. Robinson) has a different version of the story. “A little flirty? Jessica freaking Rabbitt was more subtle.”
