Understandably, Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty (Mike Manning) want to protect their son, Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller). They’re worried about his well-being, especially his struggles with calculus and increased disinterest in school. This led them to figure out what could be going on. However, this has offered them more obstacles than solutions.
Martin and Smitty have differing parenting styles, which caused conflict with Tyrell’s issues. We noticed that when Tyrell came home with a black eye. Despite their issues, they still want to protect their troubled son. Yet, they could face a new hurdle in doing so. How far will Smitty and Martin go? And will it be enough?

Meanwhile, Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) and Ted (Maurice Johnson) will throw their big anniversary party. The couple likes to keep up with appearances, but they can’t avoid the lingering problems in their marriage, like Nicole’s fertility issues and Ted’s past fair with Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant), whom he knows as Dana. But most of this is old news. So, why are these pressing issues still coming up even though the couple tackled them long ago? Is there more than what we’re seeing?
Dani Get Her Groove Back
Dani (Karla Mosley) deserves some good in her life. She wants to get her groove back after her public divorce, but she’s failed so far. Dani also lost out on The First Gen Foundation, and then she got into another fight with her daughter, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla).
Still, Dani hopes she get recover her lost spark. She confides in her BFF Pamela (Cady McClain) about her series of setbacks. Pamela is willing to help out her good friend. She assures Dani that she has a “proposal” in mind. What does Pamela have in mind?
