Weekly Recaps: September 21-25, 2026
Monday, September 21 – Episode #372
Caroline (Ellie Wang) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) hung out at the club, where they ate, drank, and Hayley vented about her life. Hayley also flirted with Izaiah (Lami) and had words with Andre (Sean Freeman).
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Madison (Kenjah) opened up to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) about Chelsea’s nightmares over Allison (Brianna Roberts). Nicole decided to have a release party for ChelseaKat’s new handbag. Nicole and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) also chatted. He noticed the new bracelet she wore. It was a gift from Kial (Greg Vaughan).
At the casino, Joey (Jon Lindstrom) was upset that Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) couldn’t stop Heather (Ashley Jones) from buying Uptown. At Uptown, Heather ran into Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli). When Joey arrived, he asked what they were talking about, and Heather told him that they were talking about Doug McBride (Jason Graham).
After Heather left, Vanessa wondered why he was so rude to his sister. Joey didn’t tell her that Heather had bought Uptown. But he admitted that Uptown was under new management and that he had wanted to buy it. When Vanessa pushed her Heather agenda on him, Joey got up and left.
Randy and Izaiah connected at Orphey Gene’s. Randy introduced himself as a friend of the McBrides and expressed his appreciation for getting Deanna (Angela Fairley) to go back to Banneker. Andre showed up at Heather’s hotel room. Heather grew impatient with Andre. She called his marriage “manufactured,” and he insisted that he loved his wife and life.
At Dani’s place, Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) told Dani (Karla Mosley) that Hayley may be his wife, but she was the one he trusted. He mentioned the ways Hayley would try to help him, with smoothies and herbal teas. He also told Dani about his life insurance policy that solely benefited Hayley, but he assured Dani that in the event of his death, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) would be well taken care of.
Bill stumbled and had another seizure, and Dani got him to the hospital, where Madison was alerted to his presence. After they stabilized Bill, he was taken upstairs. Later, Bill said he didn’t want Hayley to see him this way. This wasn’t what she signed up for.
Dani texted Nicole, telling her not to say anything to anyone about Bill being in the hospital. Not Chelsea, Naomi, and not Hayley. Dani exited Bill’s hospital room, connected the dots, and came to a shocking realization. That Hayley was behind Bill’s health woes.
Tuesday, September 22 – Episode #373
Jacob (Jibre Hordges) consulted with Nicole on the Impaler case. They concluded that this person — a man — was a malignant narcissist who ruled through fear and operated in the shadows. Someone powerful enough to draw people in with a superficial charm. A cold-blooded, charming egomaniac, which just so happened to describe Heather to a tee.
Jacob and Nicole also touched on his questioning of Smitty (Mike Manning). Jacob couldn’t say much, but Nicole was concerned. Once the two finished their conversation, Nicole made sure to tell Jacob that she would no longer consult or have anything to do with this case.
After Caroline and Hayley hit the spa, Hayley called Bill to check in. He told her that he had to travel to Richmond for business. Hayley expressed worry. She had no idea that Bill was lying to her. That he was in the hospital. He texted Caroline, who headed over to the hospital. Bill let her know that he trusted her. And she reported back on her time with Hayley at the country club. And she said that she backed up his Richmond story with Hayley.
On the phone, Madison told Chelsea that she would be at the hospital later. Chelsea shocked Madison later when she showed up with dinner. After spotting Caroline leaving Garland, Chelsea guessed that Bill was back in the hospital. Madison told her Bill didn’t want her to say anything. But Chelsea found her way into her father’s room anyway.
Dani texted with Andre, who said he wouldn’t be home for a while. She told him she was hanging out with Naomi, which was only partially true. Naomi arrived at Dani’s house, and Dani made a case for Hayley poisoning Bill. Naomi was reluctant to accept Dani’s story, but she soon got on board, even though the evidence was purely circumstantial.
Dani decided she had to go to Bill and Hayley’s house and find proof that Hayley had poisoned Bill. Naomi gave her the code to her dad’s house and headed to the country club, where she kept Hayley busy. Dani collected what she could. And found the safe that held Bill’s important documents.
Unfortunately, Naomi couldn’t keep Hayley at the club forever. While Hayley headed home, Naomi called Jacob and asked him to go over to Bill’s house right away because she couldn’t reach her mom. Dani hid when Hayley arrived home. But Bill’s second wife caught his first wife in the act.
Wednesday, September 23 – Episode #374
Hayley turned the tables on Dani, who accused Hayley of trying to kill Bill. Hayley pulled a gun on Dani and explained how she could make it seem like self-defense. Jacob and Naomi showed up just in time. Jacob cuffed Hayley and brought all three women to the precinct.
Chelsea confronted Bill and wanted her father to know that if it came down to it, he should believe Dani over Hayley. Vanessa unwittingly opened up about Heather and Joey’s dysfunctional relationship to Andre, who then arranged to meet up with Joey in a back alley.
Andre showed Joey the incriminating video he had of Heather and asked for his help in containing Heather. Back at the precinct, Hayley lawyered up when she told Jacob she would be calling Tomas (Alex Alegria). She also tried to dispose of the vial of poison. But Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) discovered it before she could.
Thursday, September 24 – Episode #375
Dani filled Andre in on what happened to her after she arrived home. Jacob showed up at the hospital with a warrant for Bill’s blood. Bill didn’t take it well. Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) plopped herself down at Anita and Vernon’s table at the country club. She told them that Dani was in police custody and had spent the entire night there.
Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) headed over to Dani’s, where they found out the whole story from her and Andre. Andre encouraged Dani to tell Bill the details of her break-in. Anita and Vernon supported Andre. They said that Dani’s focus would no longer be split now that a reason behind Bill’s health woes had been discovered.
The results of the substance in the vial came back, and Jacob told Tomas it tested positive for Ethylene glycol. Martin (Brandon Claybon) leaned on Ted regarding Smitty and the Impaler case. Martin later lent support to Naomi after she told him about Hayley poisoning Bill and holding a gun to her mother. Jacob arrested Hayley in front of Tomas, Leslie, Bill, and Dani.
Friday, September 25 – Episode #376
Hayley was arrested. She pleaded with Bill, saying that Dani was trying to frame her. He didn’t believe her. He and Dani left to go back to the hospital. Hayley tried to call Randy to bail her out, but he was too busy with Joey to help her. Instead, Leslie bailed her out.
Leslie showed up at Eva’s place, where she told Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Izaiah all about what had transpired at the precinct. Eva couldn’t believe that Hayley tried to kill Bill. Leslie basically said it was what he deserved after his role in making Eva’s life so hard. She bailed Hayley out because she supported women’s rights…and women’s wrongs. She backed Hayley because someday she might need Hayley’s help and would owe her.
Naomi told Chelsea and Kat (Colby Nixon) everything that had happened, including Tomas representing Hayley. Kat said she would have it out with Tomas, who felt that Kat should have known better than to believe he would have actually represented Hayley, especially after finding out why she was arrested.
Joey stopped by Uptown to talk to Heather. They shared a drink. She asked him why he popped in, and he said he was hoping to see a shred of the sister he once knew, but it didn’t happen. Hayley showed up at the casino to see Randy. She was mad that he didn’t come through for her. And she told him that she was barred from getting into Fairmont Crest. And she no longer had access to her credit cards/bank accounts. Randy gave her money.
At the hospital, Bill and Dani talked. He was having a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that he let Hayley destroy his family, and she never loved him. That she was in it for the money. He appreciated Dani showing him grace and forgiveness, however.
Andre visited Jacob at the precinct. It was clear he wanted to consult Jacob on what to do about Heather, but they talked about the Dani/Bill/Hayley stuff instead. Then Jacob went to Joey’s casino and asked Joey to step up his plan to deal with Heather. But Joey said he would take care of things in his own time.
Finally, Hayley sauntered into Bill’s hospital room. He was hooked up to an IV filled with the antidote to get him better. She was showered and all cleaned up. He told Hayley that he was done with her. Divorce, a restraining order, and a maximum prison sentence were in her future. She wasn’t having that, however. She told him that that’s not how this would end.
