The Wednesday, September 23, episode of Beyond the Gates was unexpected to say the least. We knew Dani broke into Bill’s Fairmont Crest house to find evidence of Hayley’s treachery. Who knew Hayley would hold a gun on Dani, the cops would detain her, and Marcel would snag the poison right out of her hand?

What Happened on Wednesday’s Beyond the Gates
Hayley (Marquita Goings) caught Dani (Karla Mosley) in the act. And instead of calling the cops right away, the second Mrs. Hamilton pulled a gun on Dani and decided to do away with her — and then call the cops. Unfortunately for her, Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) arrived in time to stop her.
Jacob detained all of the women, not just Hayley. Dani had broken into Hayley’s house, after all, and Naomi had helped her by giving her the code to her dad’s home. At the precinct, Jacob questioned Dani, who tried to get her point across. They needed to deal with this matter urgently because if Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) was poisoned, the doctors needed to know.
Hayley tried to be sneaky and throw away the toxin, but Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) spotted her and got to her before she could. When Jacob questioned her, she stopped him in his tracks and refused to say anything without a lawyer present. She had no idea where Bill was, so she decided to call Tomas (Alex Alegria), which may explain why the weekly teasers say Kat (Colby Nixon) is fed up with her boyfriend at the end of this week.
Will Bill Believe Dani’s Version of Events?
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Bill had his AHA moment. He realized that he did Dani dirty. But in a more regretful way than we have ever heard before.
But the advice that Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) gave her father rang true. If it comes down to choosing between believing Dani or his current wife, he knows what he needs to do. All of this regret about how he took her for granted means nothing if he doesn’t learn his lesson.
And it just may come down to that. Bill may finally realize that Hayley was with him for the clout and the cash. But will he be able to believe that she was slowly poisoning him to death so she could get her hands on the ten-million-dollar life insurance payout? His ego is pretty sizable, and so that may be hard for him to wrap his head around.
The Fallout is Real
Hayley’s arrest, or whatever it is, will definitely cause chaos within the Dupree family. Bill could finally get his health back. But Andre (Sean Freeman) will most certainly feel a type of way since Bill was at his house when Dani had to call 911 and get him to the hospital.
Dani and Naomi may have some legal issues of their own, since they did do something very illegal. Let’s see if Hayley sings enough to implicate Randy (Maurice P. Kerry). He was the one who secured the toxin and stood to gain from Hayley’s black widow scheme. And how long will it be before everybody learns that he and Hayley are cousins?
We know from the video preview that Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) might not be so happy with Dani. Although once they learn exactly what Dani helped stop, they may change their tune. AND nobody knows about Dani and Bill’s one-night stand yet. That is still in play.
If Tomas decides to represent Hayley, Kat won’t be too pleased. She was one of the Scooby Gang that tried to get the goods on Hayley. Of course, back then, they simply thought she was cheating on Bill. And now they know what she was really up to. Bill might have a few thoughts on Tomas acting as Hayley’s lawyer as well.
We’ll see how everything develops from here. Will Hayley be able to talk her way out of this? Will Bill believe Dani? Will this situation cause more friction in Dani’s marriage? Maybe Hayley will try to escape and flee to St. Bart’s. What do you think will happen next?
