The Beyond The Gates recap for Monday, March 3, reveals that Dani’s wedding meltdown was real and not a dream. Plus, Leslie and Eva provided more pieces to their mysterious puzzle, and Ashley and Andre bonded over delivering a baby while trapped in an elevator. Friday’s drama and chaos continued as the Duprees started to experience the fallout from Bill and Hayley’s wedding.
What Happened On Beyond The Gates?
On Monday, BTG kicked things off with a Previously On refresher. The action then picked up mid-wedding with Dani (Karla Mosley) interrupting the festivities at the “if anyone here objects to the union of these two people” portion of the ceremony. Dani trained the gun on Bill (Timon Durrett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) and subsequently shot off a warning shot to let the happy couple know she meant business. Apparently, she didn’t like those flowers.
Dani wanted Bill and Hayley to grovel for her forgiveness. She wanted Hayley to get down on one knee, but when Bill told her that was not about to happen, Dani told him to get down on his knee. When he started to, he made a grab for the gun. After a struggle, Bill snagged the weapon and gave it to Jacob (Jibre Hordges). Everybody was safe, and Dani made her exit.
The Elevator Delivery
While Derek (Ben Gavin) waited for Ashely (Jen Jacob) to meet him out for their celebration date, Ashley and Andre (Sean Freeman) were trapped in one of the hospital elevators with a woman going into labor. They realized they were going to have to deliver the baby right there and then. Ashley went into nurse mode. She was confident, decisive, and highly competent as she took control and successfully delivered the patient’s baby. Andre was supportive, and the two bonded over this shared experience.

Ashley’s gossipy mentor at work told Ben that Ashley was in that elevator with Andre when he inquired where his girlfriend was. When Ashley and Andre finally got out of the elevator, the new mother was super appreciative. She wanted pictures taken of her and her baby and also of Andre and Ashley as she held the baby. Derek looked jealous.
Leslie and Eva Rejoice

Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Eva (Ambyr Michelle) were beyond excited that Eva was able to take Laura’s place as Nicole’s temporary assistant. The two women talked about the past. How Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Dana — Ted only knew Leslie by “Dana” — were this great couple. However, he ultimately turned his back on them when he got a job with Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix). He wanted nothing to do with Dana or Eva.

Leslie couldn’t believe that when she saw Ted recently at the hospital, he looked right through her. She said Ted would curse the day he ever left them behind. Meanwhile, it became clear that Eva had no idea that Leslie was the one to run Laura (Destiny Love) off the road, creating the opening for Nicole’s assistant.

Dani Faces Her Family
After Pamela (Cady McClain) told Dani she was her ride-or-die and that she would help her friend out any way she could, Dani went home to face the music. While Anita (Tamara Tunie) yelled at her daughter, her children showed their support, even though Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) accidentally live-streamed the disastrous wedding. But Dani didn’t blame her daughter. She knew it was her fault. But this live-streaming forced Vernon (Clifton Davis) to come up with a plan that involved a Dupree family press conference.
Issues developed between Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and her cop husband, Jacob. He knew he should have arrested Dani, but Naomi defended her mom and said that nobody got hurt. She then advised him that he should go home and that the family would handle things. Jacob didn’t like hearing that one bit. Naomi claimed she was trying to protect him.
Bill and Hayley Say Their “I Dos”
Bill and Hayley took a minute to shake off what had happened. But they ended up getting married the way it was supposed to be before Bill blackmailed Vernon to get Fairmont Crest to show up for the wedding. They were married in front of Bill and Hayley’s coworkers. Then, the happy couple went home to start their lives together.
As they talked about their impending honeymoon, Bill’s friend at the Washington Post tipped him off to the Dupree press conference, which means they will have to delay their Italian vacation because Bill said he has a press conference to attend.

ETC.
The mysterious Martin (Brandon Claybon) seemed to relate to Dani’s wedding reaction. He said sometimes the anger builds and boils over until you don’t have a choice. What does he mean by that? Elsewhere, Pamela, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), and Doug (Jason Graham) all decided they would do anything to support the Dupree family — all of them.
