What Happened to Samantha and Tyrell’s Parents?
Martin’s (Brandon Claybon) secret and the Duprees covering it up have been a focal point of BTG from day one. Years of secrecy have impacted Martin. He’s having nightmares and daymares, plus there’s tension between him and his husband, Smitty (Mike Manning).
There’s been much speculation about what Martin is hiding. Recently, the attention has focused on his and Smitty’s adopted siblings, Samantha (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller). From what is known, they were young children when they were adopted. So, what happened to their biological parents?
Well, if one fan theory is correct, Martin might be responsible for the death of Samantha and Tyrell’s parents. On a Soaps.com message board, viewers discussed the possibility of the theory being true.
”The parents of the adopted children were killed in the car accident Martin keeps having nightmares over,” wrote one user.
”Wow, that is a great theory. Maybe the birth mother wanted them back. There was a chase and a crash,” another fan replied.
”It would be very, very good storyline, but I’m not sure they want to go down that very dark path. That would cost the Duprees everything if indeed it was Samantha and Tyrell’s bio parents. And Martin purposely ran them off the road, ending up killing them,” another commenter chimed in.
Martin is protective of his children, although sometimes his behavior might be considered controlling. If the bio parents threatened to take the twins back, that would set off Martin and lead to tragic events.
It won’t be too much longer before Martin’s secret is exposed, and the Dupree/Richardson family won’t ever be the same.
