In just a week, Beyond the Gates has rolled out a whole mess of drama, including slaps, golf club threats, a hit-and-run, a fashion photo shoot, and a family summit. The Friday cliffhanger took things to the next level with a chaotic wedding where the guests were decked out in funeral black in silent protest to Bill and Hayley’s nuptials.
A Gun and a Trojan Horse
The Gun
As much as we all want Dani (Karla Mosley) to realize that she doesn’t need Bill (Timon Durrett), she’s going to have to learn that for herself. Obviously, she isn’t over him yet. She still longs for the life they had together, but hopefully, that’s over after today. After Bill destroyed and humiliated Dani before the wedding.
Ms. Dupree made one last ditch effort to repair her relationship with Bill, and what he did was cruel. His daughter Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) was right; he’s so casual about the hurt he’s inflicted on Dani, and that’s more maddening than anything. He called her desperate as he cruelly let her know that he had moved on.
As a result, in her fierce black dress, she showed up to the wedding with a gun in tow. And when it came time for anyone to object to the wedding, we saw Dani take her gun out and train it on Hayley (Marquita Goings). Needless to say, all hell broke loose at the wedding. Was it for real? Or are we going to find out on Monday that it was just a dream?
Hopefully, Dani will stop wasting her energy on Bill and move on with her life. Maybe turn to Andre (Sean Freeman) for a bit? Because they were hot, one-night stand or not.

The Trojan Horse
Meanwhile, in non-wedding news, Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) interviewed Eva (Ambyr Michelle) for the suddenly available assistant job, and Eva got it. And that played right into Leslie’s hands. It turned out that Eva was in on everything, with this whole surrogate mom act and everything.

“You are finally going to be where you should have been all along. In your father’s house.” Does this mean Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) is Eva’s actual mother and Ted (Maurice Johnson) is her father? Is that why Nicole’s life is about to unravel and she has been staring at Ted? Can’t wait to find out more about Ted, Leslie, and Eva.
What do you think of BTG’s first wedding so far? And what do you think Leslie and Eva’s story is all about? Let us know in the comments.
