A Dupree Disagreement
The drama has not stopped for Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie). Anita is still in the middle of her cancer journey. But that has taken a backseat to the tornado and its fallout. The matriarch and patriarch of the family have had to watch the people they love get hurt and contemplate major decisions. For example, Kat (Colby Nixon) decided to donate part of her liver to Eva.
But on Wednesday, some of the focus is on them when Vernon disagrees with Anita. It’s not often that the husband and wife are on different pages. But when they are, they figure things out and do whatever it takes to get back in sync. Is that what’s about to happen here? Or will this disagreement seriously trip them up?
The Tornado’s Still Causing Drama
Andre and Dani
According to the weekly spoilers, Andre (Sean Freeman) questions Dani’s experience during the tornado. As far as Andre is concerned, Dani (Karla Mosley) was alone in that elevator. So there may be something he learns that causes him to suddenly question his wife. Or this is simply about wanting to know more about what she went through while she was alone.
Whatever the reason, Dani insists that she will never tell her husband what she really did while stuck in that elevator. She knows that if she does, she will lose his endless amount of trust. And more importantly, she could lose him altogether.
Naomi and Bill
Meanwhile, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) must catch her father at an awkward moment to confront him about having her mother in mind. How will she even be able to tell that Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) is thinking about Dani?
Unlike many adult children on soaps, Naomi — and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla), for that matter — do not ever need their parents to reunite. In fact, Naomi and Chelsea would probably do whatever they could to prevent their parents from getting back together.
Tomas and Chelsea
Finally, Tomas (Alex Alegria) has been supportive of Kat once they were reunited after the tornado. He even defended her against Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). And he distracted her with true-crime talk while she waited for the results of her blood test. But on Wednesday, Tomas stuns Chelsea. Has he prepared a grand gesture for Kat?
