- Sheila stirred up fun on B&B, but Hope’s indecision continued another week.
Hits and Misses Breakdown: June 15-19, 2026
Beyond the Gates
HIT: Kat ultimately stepped up for Eva. Kat (Colby Nixon) wrestled with all her complicated feelings about potentially donating part of her liver to Eva (Ambyr Michelle), the half-sister she hates. She hoped upon hope that somebody else could come through for Eva. Kat didn’t want Eva to die. And she didn’t want to be the one who saved her. She also had concerns about recovery from such a major procedure. But at the end of the day, she found a reason to step up and agree to be the donor. Two of Kat’s conversations were fascinating. The ones she had with her mother and grandmother. Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Anita (Tamara Tunie) let her get her thoughts out, even the irrational ones. They listened, and they let her decide, since it was her body.
MISS: The pressure Ted, Martin, and Izaiah put on Kat. The pressure for Kat to donate was something we expected from a distraught Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). Meanwhile, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) gently tried to get Kat to see what was up. But the way Martin (Brandon Claybon), Izaiah (Lami), and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) tried to guilt her was tough to watch. It was natural for these guys to feel desperate since Eva was in a bad way, but they were brutal. And the fact that Kat’s own brother would call her out like that —it made us want to know how they grew up. Because there has to be a reason Martin is so quick to side with Eva over the sister he has known forever. Kat needed time. And they needed to let her have that.
Honorable Mention (MISS): Dani and Nicole need more friends. When both Dani and Nicole are down and out and need a friend, they more often than not turn to Vanessa, which is cool. Vanessa is awesome, and she won’t (outwardly) judge if you admit to cheating on your young husband. Apparently, Pamela isn’t always readily available. It would be great to see that Dani and Nicole had a whole friend group to turn to.

The Bold and the Beautiful
HIT: Sheila uses signing divorce papers as leverage. Sheila’s presence gave B&B’s week a fresh hit of fun. Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) keeps toying with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Deacon (Sean Kanan). They are so sure she’ll resort to her old tricks, treats, and terrors. Instead, she surprises them when she doesn’t go full Sheila on them. It’s hilarious. But she’s not beyond resorting to a tough tactic or two. In this case, she told Taylor and Deacon that she wouldn’t sign the divorce papers until they arranged for her to spend time with Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Hayes (Bryan David Garlick). Even in this request, she was pretty reasonable. She only asked for two days a month. Brilliant move.
MISS: Hope remains torn…of course. Hope (Annika Noelle) refuses to make a definitive decision about her future. Granted, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) made it harder for her to cut the cord at Forrester Creations this week when she gave the green light for Hope for the Future’s return. But if Hope is feeling unwanted at FC, wouldn’t it be better if she just made the jump on her own terms rather than letting someone else tell Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), or blindsiding her mother when her daughter’s new Logan line debuts? It would be the more adult way to go, and last time we checked, Hope was a grown woman.
Honorable Mention (MISS): What’s going on with Daphne and Carter? There has been nothing on the Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) front for a while now. They were trying to get pregnant last we heard. What’s even going on with that? It would be great to see this couple involved in a story of their own.

Days of our Lives
HIT: The mysteries. There were two particularly interesting investigations tackled this week. 1) There was the chess box Stefano (the late Joseph Mascolo) gave Marlena (Deidre Hall) that was missing a pawn chess piece. And 2) The tainted drug scandal featuring Coriseal, which has resulted in mysterious deaths and may involve DiMera Pharmaceuticals. What’s appealing is that it uses couples in different ways that aren’t solely about romance. Belle (Martha Madison) and Chad (Conner Floyd) are getting closer, sure, but they’re also doing something that could have ramifications down the line. While we’re not wild about a Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) pairing, it’ll be cool to see where this mystery leads.
MISS: Kristen’s continued hypocrisy. Everything that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) ever accuses EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) of could also be directed at her. This week, Kristen told Lani (Sal Stowers) that EJ gets away with everything. Kristen will pay every once in a while, but she largely goes unchecked for so many of her crimes.
Honorable Mention (MISS): Paulina versus Lexie. Drama was everywhere on soaps, including at the Juneteenth celebrations. The only sour note was the bitter back-and-forth between Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Lexie (Nikki Crawford), which would have been better saved for another day and another speech.

General Hospital
HIT: Valentin is the MVP of the week. James Patrick Stuart is always a welcome presence on GH. This week, his character had to say goodbye to Carly (Laura Wright) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke). The one between Valentin and Charlotte was particularly heartbreaking as he left town without his daughter. He had to go to Geneva to talk to “Z” and hopefully tell him what’s going on with Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) in Port Charles. It was a big risk, however, because he could get locked back up in Steinmauer for his troubles. His goodbye with Carly solidified them as a couple to root for. It will definitely be interesting when Anna (Finola Hughes) reenters the picture, which is soon.
MISS: Brook Lynn would rather hide her scheme than enlist Tracy and Michael. If Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) actually told somebody in her family about her plans to frame Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), then Tracy (Jane Elliot) would probably try to talk her out of it. And Michael (Rory Gibson) might say that her plan would mess with his plans for his ex-wife. But it feels like Brook Lynn could and should turn to them during this time.
Honorable Mention (HIT): “Nathan” tells Dante and Lulu he knows where Rocco is. Fake Nathan (Ryan Paevey) ran straight to Lulu’s after Charlotte, and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) told him where Rocco (Finn Carr) was. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) happened to be with Lulu (Alexa Havins), and unless something changes on Monday, Cassius has decided to tell them where Rocco is. Maybe this is a self-serving move, and he is doing this to get back on everybody’s good side after having messed up royally. It was still unexpected, and we like to be surprised.

The Young and the Restless
HIT: Traci confronts Patty. Patty (Stacy Haiduk) has unleashed her plan, involving Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns), to trap Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) in hellish situations. Patty has forced Jack into a relationship with her while Diane’s at the doctor’s house, dealing with her recent “nervous breakdown.” Thankfully, we had Traci to hold Patty’s feet to the fire. She refused to let Patty forget about all of her crimes due to getting a clean bill of mental health from a psychiatric facility. And Traci reminded everyone that Patty’s past misdeeds included being responsible for her daughter, Colleen’s, death. Thank you, Traci! Beth Maitland was fantastic as usual.
MISS: Gaslighting Diane. This is yet another kidnapping in Genoa City. It’s a crime that’s run rampant for the last couple of years, especially. While the performances are all good, it’s difficult to watch another soap opera female character get gaslit. Kudos to the writers and props department, or whoever’s responsible for those Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) books. When Diane spotted them, we instantly knew what kind of doctor that Markham was. He’s trying to force her to believe she had a breakdown, and we wish Patty had dealt with Diane differently.
Honorable Mention (MISS): Why didn’t Victoria get a doctor involved sooner? It’s never good when soap characters hide their illness or their dire symptoms. It was clear that Nikki’s headaches were brutal. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) saw that, but listened to her mom’s excuses about this being stress or MS-related. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has been stubborn, but Victoria should have gotten a doctor involved much earlier than next week.
