Next week on Beyond the Gates, Kat and Eva fight through surgery after Kat agreed to donate part of her liver to the half-sister she hates. Weekly Recap: June 15-19, 2026
Monday, June 15 – Episode #308
At the country club, Martin (Brandon Claybon) stood up too quickly and collapsed. Shanice (Ernestine Johnson), Ashley (Jen Jacob), and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) rushed to his rescue. And Smitty (Mike Manning) took his husband to the hospital. There, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Izaiah (Lami) showed up for Eva (Ambyr Michelle), who was in surgery.
Kat (Colby Nixon) and Tomas (Alex Alegria) arrived at the hospital to see about Eva and Leslie verbally attacked them both. Tomas defended Kat. So did Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and he stopped Leslie from going after his daughter. Madison (Kenjah) gave Smitty and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) an update on Martin. Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) rushed over to the Richardson-Smith household and told Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) and Samantha (Najah Jackson) what happened to Martin and she took them to the hospital.
A doctor told Leslie, Ted, and eveyone that Eva suffered extensive damage to her liver. It was so bad that she would need a transplant or she could die. Kat later told Chelsea and Tomas that if she had known all of this was going to happen she would have been nicer to Eva in that stairwell. And Leslie and Ted got tested.
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom) waited for word of Deanna (Angela Fairley) and Donnell (Alex Cheeks), who were at Banneker during the storm. Deanna finally called and let her mom know she and Donnell were fine. But while they were on the phone, Joey shouted out that Vanessa’s bubble bath was ready. Deanna didn’t appreciate that at all and she hung up on her mom.
Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) were back home and upset that they were only now hearing about Martin’s collapse. They also talked about rebuilding the Fairmont Crest country club stronger than ever. Meanwhile, Martin’s family gathered in his hospital room, where Madison told them that Martin had a concussion.
Tuesday, June 16 – Episode #309
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley (Marquita Going) checked into The Bowman Hotel because a fallen tree blocked access to their house. The house thankfully wasn’t damaged. Hayley couldn’t imagine how Bill didn’t have a single spot on his suit.
They talked about the Abbotts a lot, especially Kyle (Young and the Restless’ Michael Mealor). Bill sounded jealous. He joked that Hayley and Kyle had slept together during the tornado and Hayley got mad…she didn’t like the golddigger label. Bill said he was just kidding. That he knew she wouldn’t do that. And she said she knew that Bill wouldn’t betray her with another woman. Bill gave a look.
Andre (Sean Freeman) and Dani (Karla Mosley) arrived home. He was on crutches and decided to camp out on the couch on the first floor. He shared with Dani how grateful he was that she was okay. Meanwhile, Vanessa defended what happened on her phone call with Deanna. Vanessa insisted to Joey that Deanna would one day have to accept Joey was in her life.
Dani called Vanessa over to her place and they met up in Dani’s bedroom. While Vanessa was gone, Heather (Ashley Jones) stopped by Joey’s to see her brother. She told him that she was heading back to London unless he changed his mind about partnering up. She spotted a picture of Vanessa. Called her a bad bleached blonde. Heather wanted to know more about Vanessa. Joey said the only thing she needed to know was that Vanessa was off limits.
Dani revealed to Vanessa that she had sex with Bill in the elevator. She said that the only reason it happened was that they were stuck together for so long. Vanessa wanted to know if she was sure. Dani said she won’t tell Andre but Vanessa wanted her to make sure that Bill was on the same page as her.
Martin and Smitty learned about Eva. Kat was still at the hospital, but she was sitting alone because Tomas had to go help a kid in need. Kat asked Ted if she spoke Eva’s injuries and surgery into existence when she once wished Eva had never been born. Ted assured her that she wasn’t to blame for this happening.
Ted found out he wasn’t a compatible donor. Martin and Smitty decided to get tested. Kat called Andre to see if he could get tested. Leslie wasn’t a match and Andre couldn’t get tested because he was on meds for his leg injury. So it was up to Kat, who was super reluctant to get tested. Martin had no patience with his his sister or her hesitation. She wondered why for once he couldn’t have her back or consider her feelings and she rushed off.
The hospitall nurses/attendants brought an unconscious Eva into her room. They had to put her on a ventilator.
Wednesday, June 17 – Episode #310
Leslie stayed at Eva’s side. She wondered what would happen if they didn’t find a donor in time. Ted wanted her to stay strong, positive, and hopeful. Izaiah and Kat were in the stairwell at Garland Memorial. He tried to urge Kat to get tested to see if she was a match for Eva. He said there was no time to waste. Elsewhere, Martin said he loved his sisteer but he didn’t know what she was thinking. Smitty was the voice of reason, however.
When Ashley got home, Jan was there to support her. Jan talked to Ashley when Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) called and she didn’t answer. She ultimately did text him back. At Nicole’s, the psychiatrist Face Timed with Kial (Greg Vaughan), who came over to support her. Later, he held her in bed.
Shanice extended an olive branch to Leslie. Shanice told her that they were both on Team Eva. Ted learned that Smitty and Martin weren’t matches. Martin couldn’t believe the way Kat acted when he asked her to get tested. That she ran away. Ted noted that with medical situations, it often took Kat a minute to wrap her mind around things.
Izaiah felt it was just a blood test. But Kat begged to differ. It was more than that. There was a test. Then if she was a match, then it was open surgery. And she would have to give a piece of her body to someone who hated her and who slept with her boyfriend. Someone who helped her mother cover up two murder attempts.
Izaiah asked her if this was all about revenge. He wanted to know what the hell was wrong with her. She said it wasn’t about revenge. That she was there when Eva coughed up blood. She knew how serious this situation was. But wasn’t ready to serve herself up on a platter. So Izaiah belted out that maybe she had no human decency.
Ted scolded Izaiah and Martin for heaping judgment on Kat. He said that wasn’t going to help. Martin seemed to realize he was out of line while Izaiah didn’t want to add to Ted’s stress. When Ted talk to Kat, she told her father that she felt like she was being used for her parts. Ted tried to communicate what Kat meant to him. Kat asked her dad if she didn’t change her mind about getting tested for Eva, would he be able to forgive her? He wanted both of his girls to survive. Ted got more heated and ended up begging his daughter to do this for him. Not for Eva. Do it for him. Kat ran off.
Leslie spoke to Eva about her regrets. She said that she should have left Alan earlier. And she should have told Ted about Eva earlier. If there was anything she could to make things better for her she would do it.
Thursday, June 18 – Episode #311
Chelsea updated Kat saying there was no match for Eva yet. Chelsea gently and in a non-judgmental way let Kat see that getting tested was the right thing to do. That if she waited to help Eva, that she may end up being too late. And she wouldn’t be able to live with that.
At Nicole’s, Kial realized that Nicole hadn’t told Samantha and Tyrell about him yet. At the hospital, Andre arrived to support Ted and Eva. He also didn’t understand where Kat was coming from. Kat told Chelsea that she didn’t want Eva to die. She just didn’t want to lay down her life for her. She admitted she would have gotten tested in a second if it had been one of her familiy members that needed her.
Elsewhere, Dani showed up at Bill’s office. Dani shared that she was so mad at herself for what they did. That what they did was selfish, not an act of love. Bill, on the other hand, said he wouldn’t beat himself up for how they reached out to each other that night in the elevator.
Bill said the tornado moved up the inevitable. That he didn’t care if his marriage failed. He said he loved his wife, but he couldn’t just turn off his feelings for Dani. He thought he could but it didn’t work like that. If the truth came out. he felt that he and Hayley could work through the fallout. Dani told him that even though Hayley deserved to be humiliated, Andre didn’t. He was the innocent party here. And Bill didn’t get to hurt him with their mistake.
Dani said she was letting go of him forever. That he wouldn’t get what he wanted. Her crying and begging for him. She would never forgive him. She begged him not to turn her into a version of him by making her treat Andre the way that he always treated her. Bill said she has his word. He’ll do it because he had hurt her enough and he won’t do it again.
Ted opened up to Shanice when he told her how he and Eva were finally racking up milestones as father and daughter. But what if the last time he talked to her was the last time? He couldn’t even remember what he said to his daughter. Shanice told him exactly what he had said. He told Eva that she looked beautiful.
Ted and Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) updated each other. Everybody at the practice got tested. And Carlton was covering for Ted since Ted needed to be there for Eva. Carlton later called nicole and told her that Ted needed a friend.
In Eva’s hospital room, Izaiah was by her side. He said he loved her and asked her to hag on. They were going to do big things. Back at Orphey Gene’s, Kat wanted to speak to someone who she knew could help her sort through all of this and had her best interests at heart, not just Eva’s.
Kat finally told Nicole about the pressure she was under. Her mom comforted her and told her that she hated that she has been going through this crisis without her. Kat knew she wasn’t be rational. She also told her mom about the day Eva said that one day she would need her and she wouldn’t show up for her. Nicole told her that this was decision was hers to make. If she needed more time to decide, she should take the test, so she would have the option.
Ted apologized to Leslie for the way he acted back in the day when he found out that she was pregnant. Leslie apologized too. Kat came back to the hospital ready to be tested. Nicole made it clear that this was Kat’s decision. Chelsea told everybody gathered that this didn’t mean Kat would donate, that they needed to see if she was a match first.
Friday, June 19 – Episode #312
Vernon and Anita noticed that the tornado took out Leslie’s shouse. Leslie and Ted acknowledged that time was running out for Eva. Dani arrived at the hospital and got an update from Andre.
Hayley walked into Bill’s office, sans coffee. And complaining about checking into The Bowman. At the precinct, Elon (Malachi Malik) asked Jacob how he and Izaiah were doing. Jacob said he was headed over to support his brother. Elon couldn’t get away from work but he would make sure that Darlene (Monique Mosee) was updated.
Martin and Nicole talked over coffee. He was happy that his sister finally made a decision. Nicole explained to Martin that if Kat was a match, she didn’t have to go through with it. It was a big surgery, with a substantial recovery time. The decision to go through with this wasn’t a done deal, and they would have to respect her decision.
Ted realized that Kat disappeared from the hospital. Kat was with Tomas. He distracted her with true crime talk while she waited for the results of the blood test. Dani was the one to realize that Anita and Vernon weren’t at the hospital. She took it upon herself head over to her parents’ place. Dani ran into Bill at the elevator. Again, she told him to keep his mouth shut.
Dani broke the Eva news to Anita and Vernon. Darlene showed up at the hospital to support her son. Vernon deduced that Kat was more or less pressured into taking the test to see if she was a match. Kat confirmed her grandfather’s words. Dani hugged Kat saying she was sorry that she was put in this unfair position. Kat appreciated somebody saying that. But she wanted to talk to Anita. With Anita’s understanding, support and advice, Kat knew what she had to do.
At Orphey Gene’s Naomi ran into an upset Hayley. It turned out that staying at the hotel, there was no safe place to stash the poisonous concoction she was using to microdose Bill’s beverages. Hayley covered with Naomi, however. She blamed her upset on grieving Derek (Ben Gavin), which Naomi bought. After Naomi left, Hayley rolled her eyes.
Back at the hospital, Darlene and Leslie made peace. Jacob supported Izaiah, who was resentful that Elon wasn’t there. But guess who showed up? Elon, who joined the family by Izaiah’s side. Andre and Bill got into, but ultimately, Bill told Andre that he didn’t want Dani to be hurt like he had hurt her. Andre assured him that would never happen. Bill said that Dani already had one marriage end because of infedlity. It would be a shame for that to happen again.
At one point, there was a positive match for Eva on the donor registry but that news was short-lived. The liver was given to someone else, which put Eva right back to being in desperate need for a donation. Kat came back to the hospital and said she wanted to talk to her dad.
She went into Eva’s room and told Ted and Leslie that she was a match. And she would donate a portion of her liver to Eva. Leslie hugged Kat (even though she wouldn’t stop calling her Kitty Kat). Later, Eva was led off to the transplant surgery. Elon hugged Izaiah. And in her hospital bed, Kat told her dad she was only doing this for him. Not for Leslie or Eva. She was donating a portion of her liver because she loved Ted.
