Diamond White — A Biography
Diamond White was born the youngest of four siblings in Detroit, Michigan. She was singing and acting at an early age, winning a role in the national touring musical of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple by the age of 8. Later, White moved on to the cast of The Lion King in Las Vegas.
Music is her first love, and she felt moved to audition for The X Factor in 2012. White placed in the top five and her career really began to take off with steady work as an actress and voiceover artist. Her voice work credits include hit shows such as Phineas and Ferb, Sofia the First, Rescue Bots, Transformers, The Lion Guard, American Dad!, Pinky Malinky, and Close Enough.
White juggled film and television credits while working steadily from 2016 to the present. She landed roles in such films as Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween, and the sequel Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, F*&%k the Prom, No Running, and Outsiders. Television credits such as Dear White People, Code Black, Fresh Off the Boat, American Koko, Sing it!, Girl Meets World, Blackish, the final season of Empire, Curious George, Close Enough, The Lion Guard, and Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
In 2020, White joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Paris Buckingham, the younger sister of Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), and the daughter of Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady).
