A little taste of down under has been missing in Port Charles the last few years, but that’s all about to change as “General Hospital’s” favorite Aussie is back.
That’s right, Ingo Rademacher is returning to the soap that catapulted him to daytime fame in the 90s.
According to Soap Opera Digest, the actor returns on July 29 for “a big story” and former co-star Laura Wright couldn’t be more thrilled. The actress, who played Jax’s wife, shared her excitement on social media with the words–“Yay, he’s coming back!”

Jax was last seen in 2013, but he’s often heard about as daughter Josslyn makes frequent visits. Now, it seems Jax will be visiting Joss, but it’s still billed as a guest appearance.
Rademacher joined GH in 1996 as the charismatic Jax and quickly made a supercouple out of Jax and Brenda, as well as a super triangle between Jax, Brenda, and Sonny (Maurice Benard). He played the role on and off until 2013.
