Hannah Brown was not necessarily considered to be a frontrunner for Bachelorette after her elimination from The Bachelor, but she certainly proved all the haters wrong!
The 24-year-old was named the next leading lady last week during The Bachelor finale and has already started filming her new season.
But, prior to filming, Brown stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss The Bachelor and why she’s so ready to fall in love on The Bachelorette.
“My journey on The Bachelor was interesting. I definitely grew, but I had ups and downs,” she explained.
“There were moments where I did not think this would happen. I think the reason I’m here is because I was real, I was myself and I showed every part of myself.”
And, though things didn’t work with Colton Underwood, she still wants the best for him.
“My heart broke for him. He’s a good human and he has good heart, so even the fence jump that was teased as this dramatic thing, it was real, and it was raw,” she explained.
“I ultimately just want his happiness at the end of this, so I’m excited to see everything work out for him.”
Despite being quite young, Brown is looking for a man who has a kind heart and is ready for marriage.
“I would not have gone on this show if I hadn’t really thought about what was at the end of this,” she said.
“But, ultimately, I want at the end of this to know that they know me and know every part of me, not just some version of myself that I packaged together and was like, ‘Do you like this?’”
She continued, “I think I’ve done that in the past, the good and the bad, and I want that in return.”
