The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, September 2 features Gabi leaving Julie to die (albeit, unwittingly) and then talking some sense into her errant husband. Also, Vivian Alamain made her triumphant return to the land of the living.
Fool Me Once…
Gabi (Camila Banus) just didn’t buy Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) claim that she was suffering a heart attack. After all, it’s a case of once bitten twice shy since the scheming granny faked a chest aliment to best Gabi in the past.
Despite Julie’s insistence that this time she was being truthful Gabi left her gasping for air beside the park bench. But Gabi wasn’t a cruel woman so she left Julie with some advice: take acting lessons!
Julie faded into unconsciousness but luckily she was found by Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). They phoned for an ambulance and Ben started CPR but by the time the elder Horton got to the hospital, the prognosis wasn’t good.
Back From The Dead
It turned out that you CAN trust a woman who kidnapped a mother and child and held their location as ransom in exchange for an immunity deal. (Who’d a thunk?) The Chicago hotel that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) sent Jack (Matthew Ashford) — and tagalongs Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Eric (Greg Vaughn) — to was indeed the holding place of Nicole and Holly.

It’s just too bad that they’ve made a run for it! However, it’s not a total loss seeing as how Mayor Devereaux and Jennifer headed back to Salem with Dr. Rolf (William Utay) who managed to not only save the life of Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser) but restore her memories without that pesky brain tumor side effect.
The Things We Do For Love…
You know that you’re in a seriously screwed up relationship when your husband asks you to become an accessory to murder.
But that’s exactly the position Gabi found herself in when she walked in on Stefan (Brandon Barash) brandishing a gun at Kate (Lauren Koslow) and making proclamations about how he was going to avenge his mother by putting a bullet into Kates, “black heart.”
It took some work but Gabi managed to convince Stefan to lower the weapon and spare her bestie. Stefan termed Kate safe…for now. His day went from bad to worse when he answered his phone to find his mother on the other end. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
