Popular “Young and the Restless” star Justin Hartley became a fan favorite almost instantly when he took over the role of Adam Newman. This scoundrel with many shades of gray always seems to be in a hot story–and the same holds true this summer.

Adam’s In Hot Water
Adam faces some serious problems in Genoa City these days and Hartley said he’s fighting an uphill battle. When all is said and done, he’s a soap hero and the actor expressed confidence that he’ll find his way out of this latest mess.

“The deck is stacked against Adam, and it’s not looking good. Maybe he’ll outsmart Victor [Eric Braeden], but he’s got to figure this out,” Hartley teased on CBS.com.

The Urge to Roam
As for his off-screen summer, one of Hartley’s favorite activities is traveling. He and girlfriend Chrishell Stause (Bethany Bryant) have been to France, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil; he told CBS.

Their most memorable jaunt was Paris, and during that trip, they visited both tourist attractions and local hotspots.

Stause and Hartley also enrolled in fitness boot camp together. While it’s difficult, Hartley enjoys it and relishes doing things outside.

“I’m a big fan of doing anything you can do outdoors,” Hartley said.

You can often find the handsome actor poolside. While Hartley loves being in the water, he also enjoys reclining next to it! He and daughter, Isabella, also enjoy a good water balloon fight when the temperature rises.
