Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) is feeling the love these days from her costars on The Young and the Restless. The expectant mother recently shared some photos from a baby shower thrown by some of her favorite coworkers!
“I’m so lucky to have a job I love so much, playing a role I love so much, with THESE PEOPLE THAT I LOVE SO MUCH!!” Egan enthuses. “Beyond grateful. Thank you @e.c.hendrickson, @gregrikaart, @therealstafford, & @joshuamorrowyr for throwing me my work baby shower. I’m spoiled and I know it!!! Thank you guys, and thanks to all you amazingly supportive fans who watch the show, and have sent your love my way during this time. It will forever mean the world to me, [my husband, Matt] @katrosar, and this new little man.”
“Welcome to the club @missyclaireegan!” posted Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell Fisher). “We couldn’t be more excited for you and @katrosar. Baby K is already loved by so many.”
Other baby shower attendees included Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden Barnes, General Hospital; ex-Greenlee, All My Children), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson), and Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland). Grimes’s presence prompted one social media follower (@bean4418) of Egan’s to quip, “Hey, I think you found Mariah at your shower” referring to Mariah being missing right now.
Kate Linder, who plays Esther Valentine, posted a photo of herself and Egan from the gala event. “So much fun! Loved being there!” Linder exclaimed. “#fabulous #babyshower for @missyclaireegan #thankyou @e.c.hendrickson @gregrikaart @joshuamorrowyr @therealstafford #terrificjobwelldone #yr @youngandrestlesscbs @cbstv.”
Earlier this year, Melissa Claire Egan was nominated in the category of Outstanding Leading Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Y&R’s Chelsea Lawson. She’s turned in several tour de forces this year, faking her stroke, recovering, and faking a break from reality so she would be sent to a hospital rather than jail for her role in attempting to poison Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
