Recent “Young and the Restless spoilers” reveal that Victor may not be the worst father in the world after all. When he takes the stand at Adam’s trial, he proves he his master plan may come with ulterior motives.
It’s no secret Victor’s (Eric Braeden) worked hard to set up Adam (Justin Hartley) for murder. While fans have believed he did it out of revenge, today we learn there could be another reason altogether. Adam just may be another pawn in another of his games.
Mere minutes after Ian (Ray Wise) testifies that Victor is behind Adam’s murder wrap, Victor gets on the stand. It’s a moment that changes everything between father, son, and the rest of Newman clan. Victor has a trick up his sleeve that’s nothing short of shocking.
The Mustache throws Adam a lifeline that stuns the entire courtroom. He suggests that his son is innocent–and Ian is the one behind the set-up. He details how Mr. Ward is a compulsive liar and has been out to get the Newman family for years!
Was this Victor’s plan the whole time? Was he plotting against Adam to set Ian up for the fall? Ian’s attempts to kill the Newmans have all failed, but the jailhouse stabbing got on Victor’s last nerve. He couldn’t end Ian’s life, so maybe he decided to ensure Ian would never walk free.
Victor’s scam is genius. It gets his son out of trouble and puts the former cult leader in the line of fire. No one would doubt Ian has enough power, influence, and former followers to pull off this kind of scheme.
