The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 17, 2022, brings multiple confrontations for Chance Chancellor, Phyllis Summers’s return to Genoa City, a new business venture for Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, and a mysterious text pointing Jack Abbott to Los Angeles.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Chance (Conner Floyd) didn’t have a great day. First, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) begged Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to tell her what happened at the stakeout. Rey kept the information vague, and Abby asked him to talk to Chance.
Well, Chance was furious that Rey and Abby had talked. Abby left them alone to check on Dominic — their sick baby — and Chance tore into Rey. However, Rey pushed back and told Chance to get his house in order.
Finally, after Rey left, Abby implored her husband to open up to her because she felt they wouldn’t make it through the upcoming difficult situation with their son. Chance did open up to Abby, and she told him that their family needed him to figure out a way to deal with his trauma so that he could be there for them the way they needed. Ouch.
Young and the Restless: Welcome Home
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) returned to Genoa City — her home. Despite her jet lag, she happened to show up at Society, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) happened to be there too.
Well, he got her to have dinner with him, and they gushed over their mutual grandson, and Phyllis revealed that Genoa City made her, so that’s where she belongs. Jack seemed pleased to hear that his “Red” would be around. However, these two would-be lovebirds didn’t really solidify anything regarding their maybe/maybe-not relationship status.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: It’s A Deal
Elsewhere at Society, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) met with her sister-in-law, Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). In what nearly seemed a foregone conclusion, Lauren loved their pitch, and she made a deal with the design duo on the spot. Their new company name? Bella Milconno in honor of their three children (never mind that between the two of them, they actually have five children — at least).
Lauren complimented Chelsea on taking out the trash — i.e., one Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and one Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Clearly, Chelsea is a completely changed woman and would never steal from Lauren again. Clearly.
After their big win, Chelsea and Chloe went to Crimson Lights, where Chloe quickly got called away. However, she noticed how her bestie and Rey got along well together, and Chloe seemed happy to see that as she walked out of the coffee shop. Chelsea’s presence perked Rey right up since he’d been there brooding after his showdown with Chance.
Y&R: This is L.A.
Just as he left Society, Jack got what he thought was a text from the wrong number. The text consisted of nothing but a Los Angeles address. Always a helper, he texted back to let the texter know they’d gotten it wrong.
However, it just so happens whoever was on the other end of the text knew precisely what they were doing. They meant to text Jack Abbott, and they told him to go to Los Angeles immediately. It seems there’s something there that Jack has overlooked. Intriguing.
