The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 1, 2022, brings all the big feels for the Newman Media and Newman Locke merger. First, Adam Newman stuns Victoria Newman Locke with his decision. Then, Victoria disappoints Chelsea Lawson and Chloe Mitchell Fisher, Nick Newman gets a surprise of his own from his family, and Michael Baldwin delivers a shock to Victor Newman.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) reassured a worried Ashland (Richard Burgi) that her brother would absolutely quit. However, when Adam (Mark Grossman) shows up at Newman Locke, Victoria put her foot in her mouth, accepting Adam’s resignation before he gave it…oops. Instead, Adam smugly told Victoria he planned to stay on, which irritated her and her handsome husband.
Of course, when the three ended up at Society with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), their celebratory toast seemed more like a wake. Yikes. The Newmans may be headed for too much family togetherness.
Young and the Restless: Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen
Although Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) has been on the straight and narrow, she gave Nick the news of his nightmares — she intends to go to college for…BUSINESS. Credit where it’s due, Nick managed to hold it together for the most part after hearing the horror coming from his daughter’s mouth.
Later, he revealed Faith’s thoughts to a happy Victor and Nikki. However, Nick warned his parents that there were too many cooks in the kitchen with so many people working together at Newman Locke.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Good Luck With Chelsea 22.0
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) forced Victoria to see them. She promptly informed the duo that although she loved Sally (Courtney Hope), she did not need a fashion platform. It looked like they were on their own.
Chelsea convinced Chloe to cut out Sally and strike out on their own. When they informed Sally, she let loose on the ladies. Good luck with Chelsea 22.0. Sally’s the face and talent of the operation and Chelsea’s a has-been. Ouch!
Y&R: Michael Drops A Bombshell
Ashland realized something was going on. He and Victoria aren’t entirely on the same page. He tried to get Victor to agree to something, but The Mustache put him off. Ultimately, Victoria let her husband know it’s time they clearly define his new role.
Elsewhere, Michael (Christian Le Blanc) left his annoyed wife and went to Victor’s. Nikki tried to stick around while the two men talked, but her husband kindly showed her the door. That’s when Michael dropped the bombshell that Ashland’s cancer treatments were problematic. As in the clinic, he went to for treatment overseas had significant issues. The biggest question is whether or not Victoria knew about her husband’s subterfuge. Never fear, Michael will be on the case.
