Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of Our Lives (Days), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week of September 13, 2021

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

Days of our Lives

Marci Miller returns to Days of our Lives as Abigail Deveraux DiMera on Monday, September 13 in scenes with Billy Flynn (Chad). The actress, who has been on maternity leave, last aired in May.

Cady Huffman returns in flashback scenes as Calista Lockhart. She’ll be joined by Kevin Sizemore, who’ll be playing Calista’s late husband, Harrison Lord. Sizemore’s credits include the mini-series Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 as well as guest spots on NCIS, 24, and Prison Break.

Matthew Ashford has been dropped from contract to recurring status as DAYS’ Jack Deveraux. The actor confirmed the news on Twitter.

General Hospital

Over at General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) and Jason’s (Steve Burton) impending nuptials mean appearances from the major mob families in Port Charles. Lydia Look returns as Mrs. Wu, while Bart Tangredi is back as Mr. Buscema and Glenn Taranto turn up as Vincent Novak. Also, Carolyn Hennesy is among the wedding guests as Corinthos family attorney Diane Miller.

Inga Cadranel pops back in as Harmony on Tuesday, September 14. She’ll share scenes with Nancy Lee Grahn’s Alexis.

The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has cast Jamison Jones in the recurring role of Jesse Gaines, an attorney who’ll have information on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). The character will debut later this month. Jones previously appeared in various roles on General Hospital.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Last, but not least, Piper Harriot appears as Hayes Finnegan, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) son on Wednesday, September 15, on The Bold and the Beautiful.

It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
