A new actress makes her debut in a familiar role on The Young and the Restless. Here’s the soap’s latest casting news for the week of October 5-9. 

The Week of October 5, 2026

Daytime newcomer Ashley Campbell debuts as Coco Spectra on Thursday, October 8. Look for the character, originally played by Courtney Grosbeck on The Bold and the Beautiful, to make a surprise appearance at her big sister Sally’s (Courtney Hope) bachelorette party. The actress also airs on Friday, October 9. Coco won’t be the only member of the Spectra clan turning up on the soap this month.

Melissa Ordway is back as Abby Newman Winters. She’s also on hand for Sally’s party and interacts with Zuleyka Silver’s Audra, Melissa Claire Egan’s Chelsea, Hayley Erin’s Claire, and others on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9. Ordway recently celebrated a very special anniversary in her personal life.

Beth Maitland returns as Traci Abbott on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9. She attends Sally’s party and also shares scenes with her onscreen brother, Jack (Peter Bergman). Maitland recently

Matt Clark may have left town again, but it’s not the end of the road for actor Roger Howarth. He’s back on Wednesday, October 7, when Matt has a rude awakening. 

Kate Linder pops in as Esther Valentine. The Crimson Lights barista is back on the job on Wednesday, October 7, serving up coffee to Sally and Billy (Jason Thompson).
