Y&R Alum Justin Hartley Announces A New Addition To His Family

Justin Hartley, star of This Is Us, formerly Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless recently announced a brand new addition to his family. The actor updated his fans by sharing sweet photos of his newest family member.

Y&R Alum Justin Hartley Welcomes A New Addition

The Y&R alum took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of his newest four-legged family member. He introduced his followers to Alice, a sweet little brown pooch with the best puppy dog eyes ever.

“Welcome to the family, Alice,” Hartley captioned the post, which consisted of two photos. “Here’s a before & after,” he added. “Apologies in advance for this particular baptism of fire….”

The last part of the actor’s caption referenced the second photo in the post. In it, Alice laid atop a fluffy gray pillow on the floor, and another of the family’s dogs straddled Alice. The puppy managed to look quite offended by the situation but appeared to stay calm as she dealt with the other canine exploring.

Several celebrities, fans, and even Hartley’s daughter, Isabella, whom he shares with his ex-wife Lindsay Hartley (ex-Sam McCall, General Hospital), responded to the cuteness. However, Isabella kept her comment short and sweet, just adding a hand-clapping emoji and the pup’s name.

Hartley’s wife, Sofia Pernas (ex-Marisa Sierras, Y&R), also got in on the comment action, adding her thoughts on their new family member. “Pais = pirate. 100%,” she wrote.

Hartley’s Post Y&R Career Took Off

Since Justin Hartley’s days as Adam Newman in Genoa City, he’s experienced huge primetime success. Viewers who’ve kept up with him since his stint on the CBS daytime drama know that he portrays Kevin Pearson in the hit NBC drama This is Us. The drama’s sixth and final season premieres on Tuesday, January 4. He’s also set to produce a new drama called No Good Deed. Check out the sweet addition to the former Y&R star’s family below.
