Y&R Alum Donny Boaz Reveals Incredible Pride of Sister’s Navy Service

 Comments

Chance Chancellor may have been written off The Young and the Restless in February, and though fans continue to clamor for Donny Boaz to return to the role, he’s been staying busy with both personal and professional projects.

Donny Boaz’s Proud Big Brother Moment

Anyone who follows Boaz on social media knows that he’s a big family man, and often posts details about his sister Loni Boaz, who was named after WKRP in Cincinnati star Loni Anderson. This week, he revealed what he called a “proud big brother moment” on Instagram.

“My lil sis [Loni] was promoted to Senior Chief in the Navy,” he wrote. “I have to admit, I got a bit choked up at the event. I couldn’t be more proud of my little sister. She’s traveled the planet, made some beautiful, smart babies and accomplished soooo much. I love you Sissy.”

Boaz posted a couple of photos of him with his sister, who has been in the Navy for almost 20 years, as well as an image of a U.S. Navy emblem. Earlier this year, Boaz took to Instagram to talk about another special day he spent with his sister.

What do you think? Post a comment!

“About last night… I woke up in Atlanta yesterday, flew to Dallas to take my sissy, [Loni] to go see [Stoney LaRue] at #billybobstexas,” Boaz wrote. “We had a GREAT NIGHT. Thank you Stone. Proud of you Brother. Love you.”

While there don’t seem to be any plans for Y&R to bring Chance back to Genoa City and Abby Newman anytime soon, the character will most likely remain MIA on the top-secret mission that sent him out of town in the first place. Even so, Boaz seems to have plenty on his plate these days to keep fans interested.

A look at his IMDb page shows that they’ll soon be seeing plenty of Boaz on TV and in movies. He has about a dozen things either announced, currently filming, or in post-production, including a TV movie called Billy and the Bandit, and playing a coach in the film, Flip Turn, about an autistic high school boy who emulates the swimming style of his Olympic gold medalist grandfather to become a swimming champion himself.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Genoa City, check out all the latest that’s been posted on Y&R spoilers.
