Y&R Alum Donny Boaz Previews His Latest Exciting Project

No, it’s not the exact announcement that so many Young and the Restless fans have been waiting to hear – but actor Donny Boaz does have some good news to share.

Donny Boaz Talks Latest Gig

“I booked a few episodes on the upcoming HBO series, ‘The Staircase’ based on the documentary of the same name, about the author Michael Peterson and the death of his wife, Kathleen Peterson,” revealed Boaz on his official Instagram account.

“20 years later, we still don’t know the truth about what happened… everyone has an opinion, curious to know yours…” Boaz then gave a shout to several of his future co-stars, including Colin Firth, Toni Collette, and Parker Posey, and he ended his post with two declarations: “Happy to be a part of this project. Great week of work.”

Followers of the daytime TV veteran were quick to comment, enthusiastic in their praise, and in their firm agreement on one very salient point. Jasmin Vukcevic wrote, “Congrats! Excited & intrigued. Look forward to watching. Miss you on the Y & R… fan of 40+ years. Not the same without you. You & Abby were the best couple on daytime TV.”

Boaz first joined the cast of Y&R on November 8, 2019 – succeeding Guiding Light alum John Driscoll in the role of G-man Chance Chancellor. During his time onscreen, Boaz was paired opposite Melissa Ordway’s heiress character Abby Abbott Newman.

The much-beloved performer last appeared on February 1, 2021, when Chance was needed for a special undercover mission. A recent storyline has seemed to indicate that something untoward is afoot as Christine updates Abby on Friday. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
