The Young and the Restless Recap: Summer Did The Wrong And Right Things

The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Monday, August 6 features the Winters-Hamilton family at odds as Cane tried to talk Shauna and Devon out of going after his wife.

Plus, Summer came onto Billy while Kyle spied on him, Phyllis apologized to Nikki, and Mariah overheard Tessa.

Schism!
Cane (Daniel Goddard) wondered if Devon (Bryton James) is ready to destroy Lily (Christel Khalil) in order to make himself feel better about Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and their baby’s death.

Devon said, yeah, he is. He added that Nate (Brooks Darnell) stuck his nose into something that is barely his business.

Next, he tried pressuring Shauna (Camryn Hamm), insisting that Devon was using her. Worn down by the family drama, Lily told Cane she’ll turn herself in.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) accused Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) of caring only about herself and swore that if the truth came out about JT (Thad Luckinbill), Nikki would take all the blame. Because she is that awesome of a mom!

Later, Nikki suggested maybe Victor (Eric Braeden) shouldn’t destroy their son. Victor shrugged, implying Nick isn’t even a worthy enemy….

Meanwhile, Summer (Hunter King) continued walking around half-dressed in front of Billy (Jason Thompson). She wanted to tell Billy about Phyllis’s sleepover but told Kyle (Michael Mealor) it is not because she’s into her mom’s boyfriend.

Kyle rifled through Billy’s files and called Ashley (Eileen Davidson), telling her she needed to come back before Billy’s plan went through.

Reach Out And Touch Someone
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) was on the phone with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), who told her she’s almost all done visiting Crystal and will be coming home to Mariah shortly.

But then Mariah heard Tessa telling someone to leave her alone… and the line went dead…. (This story has more fakeout endings than the final Lord of the Rings movie!)
