The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, December 26 features no goodwill towards men. Instead, it’s a post-Christmas blood-bath.
Blood Will Tell
Jack (Peter Bergman) defended his plan to push Ashley (Eileen Davidson) out of the company to Billy (Jason Thompson), reminding his brother that he is a screw-up, for good measure.
Ashley tried to enlist Traci’s (Beth Maitland) support, but her sister wouldn’t back something destined to tear their family apart. Jack told Ashley he doesn’t want to hurt her, but this is life or death to him, and he won’t back down.
Meanwhile, Dina (Marla Adams) flitted through the scenes, spouting nonsense. Her illness seems to have gifted her with the delusion that she was ever a good mother.
New Year, New Plan
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) told Victor (Eric Braeden) that Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) aren’t buying the Newman’s latest reconciliation. (Why not, it’s just as ridiculous and ill-advised as all their previous ones?)
Victor suggested they renew their vows over New Year’s to drive the point home. Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are on-board. Chris and Paul are not.
Nikki wants Nick (Joshua Morrow) to attend. Victor doesn’t. Victor reminded his son that this is all his fault, stretching all the way back to when he disagreed with Victor about Nikki playing in the benefit concert. Since this is upsetting Victor so much, Nick decided to attend, after all. This is a very healthy family.
Paul warned Nikki that this is Victor’s way of sucking her back into his web of lies. Nikki insisted she can handle it. Yeah, just like all the other times….
