The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, May 1 features Kyle calling a Mayday out to Billy without revealing the truth about why, Nikki and Victor making a deal both can live with, Mattie fretting about her future, and Phyllis scaring Sharon straight… for the time being.
Help Me Help You
A business meeting between Jack (Peter Bergman), Billy (Jason Thompson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) ended with Jack giving Billy carte blanche…and reminding Kyle he should feel grateful just to be included.
Kyle convinced Billy to revoke the Abbott blood clause – without explaining he’s just discovered he isn’t one – but Jack balked.
He doesn’t want to risk a stranger getting control of the company.
Open and Shut
Victor (Eric Braeden) wondered about Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) new friendship with Phyllis and Sharon, but was distracted when his wife offered to end her affair with Arturo (Jason Canela) – as long as Nick (Joshua Morrow) is allowed to keep him on the housing project.
And as long as Victor dumps Helen. Victor’s response was done, and done. They agreed that they’re the loves of each other’s lives.
Not Kidding
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) worried that a babbling Sharon will blab to the wrong person about JT (Thad Luckinbill), so she pulled out the big puns, painting a picture of Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Johnny, and Katie writing letters to their mommies from prison. Sharon swore she’ll keep her mouth shut – for the children.
Second-Guessing
Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) agonized about not having been a good friend to Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), and wondered if she’s doomed to be alone for the rest of her life. Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) reassured. Though no one acknowledged there are no other boys Mattie’s age in Genoa City, so she might be on to something…
