The Young and the Restless (YR) Recap: Victor Is Behind Shutting Kay’s Park!

The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, December 8 finds Scott tracking down information Nick needs from Abby, Ashley and Dina sharing a day out, and Cane reconnecting with Charlie.

Park It!
All of a sudden, the most important issue in Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) life is saving a park named after Kay (Jeanne Cooper) from being paved over for condos (at least they’re not turning paradise into a parking lot). Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) doesn’t quite get his ardor, and neither does anybody else.

When Sharon (Sharon Case) waxes poetic about her ex to Scott (Daniel Hall), the guy who needs to be front and center at all times pouts that Nick saves parks, Scott saves people.

Sharon began doubting inviting Scott to live with her, when Scott learned from Abby (Melissa Ordway) that Victor is actually behind the development. He told Sharon, who loves him again.

Sharon told Nick, who went stomping to Victoria (Amelia Heinle). She pointed out the condos will provide jobs, bolster the economy, and help ease the stress on the Genoa City housing market.

They’re also going to set aside a green-space in Kay’s honor. Nick doesn’t care. He wants things his way!

Mother-Lode
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Dina (Marla Adams) spent a day ice skating and bonding. There was a thaw in their relationship, with Dina telling Ashley how wonderful she is, over and over. But, by evening, Dina has no recollection of anything that happened earlier.

Sam I Am
Meanwhile, Cane (Daniel Goddard) had a nice day out with Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) who is psyched to meet his baby brother, and promised to stop by on Christmas Day. Cane worried about how Lily (Christel Khalil) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) will feel about it, but Charlie said he can make his own decisions.
