The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, September 8 includes Tessa and Mariah zeroing in on Crystal just as Sharon agrees to pull back.
Tessa and Mariah Go Thelma and Louise
Just as Sharon (Sharon Case) at long last conceded to Nick (Joshua Morrow) that going after Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck) alone would put Sharon — and her family — in danger, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) was regaling Mariah with tales of her and Crystal’s sad childhood.
This prompted Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to sneak a peek at Sharon’s phone, figure out where Alice is, and take off after her, Tessa in tow. The girls pulled up in front of Alice’s house.
But is Crystal even still there? Zack (Ryan Ashton) told Alice he wanted his Rainbow Girl moved — after he threatened Crystal about what would happen if she ever talked to Tessa again.
Watching the Clock
Threatening teenage hookers is a very time-consuming business, and it lead Zack to stand up Abby (Melissa Ordway) — as Scott (Daniel Hall) gleefully needled her about it. Later, Abby blew up at Zack, which prompted him to fire back, exposing his darker side.
Gilding the Lily
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) told Devon (Bryton James) that Jordan (Darnell Kirwood) dumped Hilary in order to pursue Lily (Christel Khalil), which infuriated Devon enough to confront the photographer. He promptly told Lily’s brother to mind his own business.
Meanwhile, Cane (Daniel Goddard) made inroads with Lily, and tried to do the same with Mattie (Lexi Stevenson), who was still cranky about Cane forbidding her from seeing Reed (Tristan Lake Lebeau).
Mattie agreed to have dinner with her dad and talk — but it’s doubtful she’ll tell him about still dating Victoria’s son.
