The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for January 11 features a game of blame passing as Reed ranted and raved that the world is against him, Ashley and Jack continued to squabble over Jabot, and Sharon grabbed onto a new project to make herself feel better.

Boy Trouble
Reed (Tristan Lake LeBeau) first tried to get out of going to his DUI hearing altogether, but some firm words from JT (Thad Luckinbill) got him into a suit and tie, and into the courtroom.

The judge was about to pass sentence when Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) burst in, wanting to address the court. Reed attempted to stop her, but the judge insisted on hearing Mattie out.

Mattie defended Reed, explaining that he was upset that night. The judge, unimpressed with how Reed reacted, suspended his license and throws in community service on top of it.

Reed apologized to Mattie, but she is unimpressed. Later, Reed threw himself a pity party, telling JT and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he got rejected from a selective music program, and is a loser.

His parents instantly felt sorry for him and worry about how to make their precious baby feel better. While they’re doing that, Reed snuck out of the house.

Get Lost
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack (Peter Bergman) scored a victory when they served Graham (Max Shippee) with an injunction to keep him from leaving town with Dina (Marla Adams).

However, Ashley insisted on going forward with the arbitration regarding the CEO of Jabot position. And, while no one was looking, someone stole dangerous chemicals from the Jabot lab.

Sharon Knows Best
A homeless woman told Sharon she and her kids don’t need Sharon’s help. Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Sharon (Sharon Case) she’s just casting about for a new project. Sharon decided she knows better, and brought Kathy home with her. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) was shocked, to say the least.
