The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, April 4 features Ashley questioning Kyle about some of his recent decisions at Jabot, Victoria and JT seeing a marriage counselor, Abby making a connection with a surprising Newman employee, and Nikki being put in charge of Victor’s future.
Meet the New Boss… Not Like the Old Boss
Kyle (Michael Mealor) butt heads with Gloria (Judith Chapman). The minute she wouldn’t do something he ordered her to – she claimed to be protecting Jack (Peter Bergman) – Kyle fired her.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) observed that while she, personally, doesn’t mind what he did, Jack will. She also noted that Kyle sure is acting like someone who doesn’t plan to be merely a temporary CEO.
Kyle claimed his disagreement with Jack was over how he treated Ashley. But Ashley still made overtures to see if maybe Billy (Jason Thompson) wants to fight Kyle for the CEO position.
Very Rarely
JT (Thad Luckinbill) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) saw a therapist where it becams clear they have very different definitions of what it means to get violent.
And how often it happens. Both made excuses and Victoria said they should make more appointments. A grumpy JT reluctantly agrees.
Some Enchanted Evening
A weepy Abby (Melissa Ordway) was offered a hunky shoulder to cry on… by Arturo (Jason Canela). He said he knows the Newmans because he’s working with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Yup, that’s exactly what he and Nikki are doing. Working…
End of Life
Victor’s (Eric Braeden) condition took a turn for the worse, and Nikki realized that since he left no instructions about what he wants to happen, the choice will be hers. Nikki guessed it’s Victor’s way of testing her. Since Victor tests everyone, it’s a pretty good guess.
Later, a mysterious brunette came to kiss Victor’s hand. Odds are, it’s his ex-wife, Julia (Meg Bennett).
