The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, May 24 features a dance of shifting alliances, as Ashley and Billy talked the future of Jabot, Nick and Phyllis surprised Sharon, and Mariah and Tessa picked up a third wheel.
You Scratch My Back, I’ll Stab Yours
Billy (Jason Thompson) complimented Kyle (Michael Mealor) for standing by his dad, and the two aired their by now standard litany of complaints about always feeling like Abbott outsiders.
Now that they bonded, Kyle asked Billy to get rid of the blood Abbott clause and let Jack (Peter Bergman) be CEO, again. Billy said no. Later, he and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) had sex in his office. Because they can.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) told Neil (Kristoff St. John) she intends to get rid of the blood Abbott clause eventually. Neil wondered if it’s so that she can be CEO.
Ashley gave Billy her business plan to read. He tossed it in the trash once she left. Sex with Phyllis has convinced Billy he can do anything!
Cassie, Come Home
Sharon (Sharon Case) tried to talk Nick (Joshua Morrow) out of going back to work for Victor (Eric Braeden). Phyllis agreed, and pointed out to Nick that if she and Sharon are on the same side, that should tell him something.
As it was the anniversary of Cassie’s death, Sharon and Nick remembered their daughter and wonder what she would think. Nick decided that taking a chance led him back to Sharon. So he should take a chance and return to Newman, too.
Three’s a Crowd
Kyle was chatting up Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) when Mariah (Camryn Grimes) stopped by to ask her to a movie. (When did they become friends again?) Kyle invited himself along. When Mariah was called to a work emergency, Kyle asked Tessa if she still wants to go. Tessa said nope.
