The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, March 2 revealed new sides of characters you thought you knew and loved (or didn’t much care for). Nick gave into two different, bad impulses, Devon saw the softer side of Hilary, in spite of himself, JT told Victoria how he really feels about her, and Jack and Ashley had to put aside their differences for an Abbott family crisis.
Back To Square One
Nick (Joshua Morrow) gave into Anita’s (Catherine Bach) blackmail and traded Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) engagement ring for the video file Chelsea sent Christian. Nick watched it. In the video, Chelsea told a presumed grown up Christian how much she loved him, and that Adam is his biological father.
Chelsea added that Sage knew and kept it a secret from Nick. Adam knew too but decided his brother would be a good father to the baby.
After that, Sharon (Sharon Case) dropped by with a stunning proposal — Nick and Christian should move in with her! Although he considered the merits of her idea, ultimately, Nick decided to refuse her unexpected offer.
Later, though, Nick returned to Sharon and took back his refusing her offer to move in. He and Christian are ready to be Sharon and Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) roommates!
Good As It Gets
Devon (Bryton James) fired Hilary (Mishael Morgan), then learned that her bailing on the show wasn’t a power-trip, but an emergency with Shauna, the girl she secretly mentors, and Shauna’s brother, who OD’d.
Devon invited Hilary back to work. But he warned that their keeping their distance personally is still the optimal option.
Tell Me What You Really Think
JT (Thad Luckinbill) continued with his tantrum about how Victoria (Amelia Heinle) works too hard, how she has no time for him, how she butts into his private business, and how she shouldn’t be so insecure about Ashley.
But then he told her he loves all those aspects of her. So… why the whining, JT?
Mama Drama
Jack (Peter Bergman) was setting up Ashley (Eileen Davidson) to take the fall at Newman when they received a frantic video call from a lost and confused Dina (Marla Adams). The two took a moment to hug. Because that’s really going to help the situation in France….
